Upon arriving, we were captivated by the fantastic atmosphere and impeccable service. However, as time passed, the music ceased, which wasn't an issue, but the quality of service declined. Our patience was tested as we waited for our food for an hour and a half. While we understood that the place was crowded, it would have been appreciated if they had informed us about the extended wait time. While waiting, we requested a drinks menu from the waitress, as there wasn't one available. It's important to note that ordering drinks might lead to surprises in the final bill due to the absence of prices. Despite our hunger, we didn't remind her of this, as we were already contemplating leaving to find another place to eat. We also observed that people seated after us received their orders ahead of ours.
When our food finally arrived, another disappointment awaited us: the fish was undercooked in the center, though the sides were edible. The staff mentioned that we could have requested additional grilling time, but one would expect the chef to ensure proper cooking. Furthermore, the kitchen and food preparation area didn't meet ideal standards. We noticed the chef handling food with bare hands, without gloves, and wiping his hands on his pants before assembling plates. In conclusion, after conversing with the waitstaff, we were offered a modest 10% discount, amounting to nearly 6€. Take this review into consideration and ponder whether dining here is truly worthwhile. Despite the unique atmosphere, it raises the question: is the experience worth...
Read moreI am really surprised this place had high reviews. I have travelled Slovakia for 3 weeks and this restaurant had the most mid duck leg I have had in Slovakia. Red cabbage was not even braised, duck was not even roasted nicely and the lakša was not even buttery. Everything was bland across the board which makes sense because there is no way they can make anything remotely well in the small shack kitchen they have. Honestly very disappointing for somewhat high price points. Had to literally go to Bratislava Flagship afterwards which has this same dish on their menu and get the same thing again because I was so disappointed in this restaurant’s duck dish. You pay a little more in Bratislava Flagship for the duck but man is it top notch over there. Just disappointed in the quality at this restaurant and I wanted my last meal in Slovakia to be good so I had to go to another restaurant to order the same thing to get rid of my pure disappointment in this...
Read moreAt first the staff was friendly. We asked her if the chicken goulash was a big portion, she said yes, it contains 2 chicken legs. The taste was okay but the goulash is definately not recommended if you are hungry. Not even one chicken leg, just one half in two pieces. 20% meat 80% dumplings. The pork neck according to my gf was tasty but dry, I can confirm that.
When we asked for the bill the cardmachine’s battery just died right after we paid (the payment was successful!)and the waiter lady just went to the bar without any words (I guess to get the receipt). Then her boss showed up and was complaining her that some glasses and cuttlery was not clean that supposed to be clean. They were talking for minutes while we were waiting for the receipt… until we just decided to leave. We said good bye, but they didn’t seemed to care… didn’t reply anything so we left without the receipt. Altogether it was a below average...
