We made a reservation at 8:30 and came there it's located in a tall building on the last floor, when we came in we got immediately greeted and the took of our clothes and they are very polite the brought us to our table with a couch right next to glass. The view 🪟 WAS AMAZING 😍 then they brought us bread and water they were very nice.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is an atmosphere I've never seen before. It was really cozy and clean there was jazz music playing and the kitchen was opened so we can see how professional our food was making 😎 The toilet is very clean they offer a lot of variety seats, outside, inside, inside bar , terrace , and terrace outside bar.
They brought us 3 menus 1 for kids, 1 for adults and 1 wine menu. We ordered x2 Cesar salad portion and it was the best ceaser salad i ever had my life. Then we ordered Octupus , No explanation, Just simply amazing. And for the end we ordered Free Range I really recommend it's fried chicken breast. The crust is just unexplainably good, they served it with peanut butter and sweet potato and small cucumber and sour cream salad. For drinks water was good water and we had a cocoa I don't reccomend drinking it before food but after because then you won't want to eat what happened to me. We payed for 3 meals and 1 drink (they were big) And it only ended up being about 40 euros Id say it totally worth it not only the food but the view and by the way after we payed they brought us a free 6 candy 2 of them for papaya and white chocolate, 1 was tobasco jelly, and the last one was oats delicious 😋.

Read moreWonderful dinner here, with food that, while not necessarily the most adventurous, fills in a really satisfying way. The top of the intercontinental is naturally beautiful and we loved the spaciousness and warmth of the restaurant. It was rather empty when we came, but our host Ivan was amazing (really the caliber of many Michelin-star establishments). He was funny, helpful, and generous (we were offered welcome drinks, probably for our special occasion).
Appetizers were "mozzarella ice cream" (a delightful take on caprese; the sweet juiciness of the tomato mixed with an extremely creamy mozzarella "ice cream" and the wonderful crumble was delicious) and the Istrian Fuzi with truffle (a classic). The pasta sauce was not quite emulsified properly, but it was a delicious dish nonetheless and anyway we "scarpetta"d the rest. Speaking of which, bread was beautiful and Ivan showed us a wonderful mixture of local olive oil and pumpkin seed oil.
The main dishes of quail stuffed with goosd liver and quinoa and slow-cooked lamb shoulder were both well-prepared in all elements. Very good, though not as interesting as the mozzarella ice cream! For dessert we had the trio of ice cream - pistacchio was the best.
Again I express my appreciation for Ivan, who made our dinner feel personal and special, something very hard to do even at the highest-end restaurants.
I also had some wine and rakija (the latter of which almost knocked me over) recommended along with some stories of local customs, which is always appreciated. Total came to about 140€. Without the alcohol or dessert, closer to 100€, which is certainly fair given the quality of food, service,...
Read moreTop roof restaurant with astonishing view of Ljubljana, including the famous castle. The atmosphere is classy modern with correct respect of distances among tables. Service is professional and speaks several languages. Open air kitchen is beautiful to watch and give a sense of transparency to dish creations. Chef KOMNEN BAKIĆ and his team are able to create new dishes from traditional recipes using local ingredients, with the correct mix between innovation and respect of the territory. We will listen more from this young chef reaching is maturity after the guide of the Italian Michelin Star awarded chef Alfredo Russo. Chef Bakic already won the Michelin Plate award and after the experience of dining in B-restaurant I will be not wondered if one Star could arrive soon… If you have the chance to be guest of the wonderful Intercontinental * Hotel (where the restaurant is located at the 20 floor) be advised that every morning you will have a selection of cooked breakfast prepared by the Chef (we had the chance) himself or his team. Don’t miss avocado cream poached eggs with Brie and fresh mushrooms scrambled eggs with Istrian black truffle! At the breakfast the service is the example of the excellence. Ivan the maitre with his super trendy mustache is always there with a smile when you need something, supervising the large room and terrace without problem. Last days the room was full but we experienced no delay in service and in quality. Definitely an experience to suggest for travelers visiting Ljubljana but also for professional and...
