Went here on the 17 Sept for some breakfast. Before entering we saw it was busy but thought nothing of it. We waited for a table, maybe 2 minutes. The table had a party of 3 and had some plates and mugs. We waited for a bit maybe 5 minutes, the host(one of the managers) then came to collect the dishes on the table but there was still some spillage and crumbs on the table, and some liquid on the seat. After 5 minutes the couple at the table next to us offered us a napkin to wipe the liquid on the seat. Another 5 minutes went by and the host eventually came to wipe the table, with a napkin... Why do the staff not have wet proper cleaning products? The host then apologies for the delay and says we are low on staff and there is loadshedding. At which point they walk away. We still haven't even placed a drinks order. 5 minutes pass and my girlfriend eventually goes to the coffee bar and orders us drinks. When our drinks are done (it was very quick, and tasted great and the lady was very friendly) we decide to take it as a takeaway. We pay by the lady at the coffee bar and leave.
Just a tip if you are low on staff and have loadshedding, maybe limit the amount of tables instead of having a full house.
There was also a lady manager who was just walking around. Maybe help your staff in the future get your...
Read moreWe are frequent customers at Woolies Cafes across Cape Town, but unfortunately, this particular location is our least favorite. On more than one occasion, we’ve been left standing at the entrance waiting to be seated, with staff seeming less enthusiastic throughout the service. Getting their attention to pay or have the bill sent over is always a challenge. We've also noticed inconsistencies in the meals compared to other Woolies Cafes, like different cheese on the breakfast bagel and no spice on the fries.
During our last visit on Monday, 7th Oct, we experienced similar issues. We were left waiting for a seat, our fries arrived long before the meal and without any cutlery, and we ended up walking to the till point to pay.
On the positive side, the Woolies grocery store inside is lovely, as always, offering a great selection of high-quality products. It's just a pity the cafe doesn’t match that...
Read moreWhat was supposed to be a lovely breakfast with my daughter, ended in me having to ask a refund. We ordered 2 red latté’s - which took 20 minutes to arrive. We ordered one Woolworths omelette to be shared - stressed that it should have beef strips and not bacon - no bacon, please! After 35 minutes someone came to our table to confirm that it should be beef, no bacon. After waiting 50 minutes with no waitress checking in, we requested that our order be put in a takeaway container - waited another 15 minutes for that. Went inside Woolworths food to buy something, decided to check the order - bacon inside, bacon on top…! Went back and asked for a refund - took another 15 minutes to get that sorted. I don’t think they will...
