Food Lover's Eatery The Towers — Restaurant in Foreshore

I want to be clear, my rating relates to the Food Lovers Grill Shack ONLY and does not reflect the service on the ground floor for the rest of the Food Lover's Eatery, which is excellent.

Attached you'll see a picture of a Burrito with chips, something I have been looking forward to getting from Food Lover's for some time. The only issue, is that it took 40 minutes to make. From the time I stood in the line at the Grill Shack, to the minute I left with my food (before I paid). There were only two people in front of me, however, the person serving seemed as if she purposefully took her time to prepare each meal. Had she bothered to ask me what I wanted to order while I stood at the counter for 25 minutes, she may have been able to spare 8-10 minutes by putting my meat on the grill to be cooked while she prepared the meals of the people ahead of me (and I must stress) at the slowest possible pace.

The guy at the burger stand is equally depressing. He drags his feet as he walks back and forth the deep fryer to collect hot chips and seems like he has lost all hope to live. So it's clear that this is an issue with more than one of your staff members at the Grill Shack. This will be the last time I ever purchase any thing from the Grill Shack at the Two Towers Food Lover's, and I'll be taking my huge appetite to the Grill Shack at Food Lover's Icon instead.

Halaal offering has become a bit mediocre. I work in the adjacent building and can vouch for the quality taking a nose dive and the prices going in the opposite direction. Tricky that you can't weigh while you're dishing instead of getting your soul and bank account shocked at the cashier. Self service sauces for your hot chips (A sticky, filthy, mess of an area) are now limited to only tomato and mayo I think and exclude the popular sweet chilli and perinaise while the price on the hot chips doubled in 2 years (literally)... can I please have some freakin sweet chilli sauce. Asked floor manager about it and not only was he not interested, but had the "I just work here" approach. 100% sure they can do better. 100% sure they don't care. Is what it...

Great Ring Doughnuts. The pies on the other hand are either under-baked, stale or your Display warmer is not working properly or you bake too many in advance. I've just confirmed this for myself by occasionally trying Food Lovers on random days over the past few months. On a Monday morning usually they are nice and fresh but any other day they are stale and soggy with no crisp left in them. Also by the time i get to the civic center they are ice cold. I have been buying pies at Woolworths food for many months and when I get back to the Civic Centre they are still piping hot and crispy even if i wait 30 mins before eating it's still hot. Pretty sure Food Lovers and Woolies are using the same Pie brand as the pattern on top and the foil tray...
