Whomever is responsible for hiring staff at this location made well to blend like personalities that seamlessly complement each other. From the Brown service ambassadors to Brown management, everyone interacted with was such a pleasure. It is one of the best reasons to give this place a try. Only saw mlungu manager taking pictures & not interacting with guests. What they have in personality however, they lack in real sustainable options for those who do not eat animals or their byproducts. Soy strips, vegan cheese & a Napolenta sauce are the only (3) options to customize a pizza. No other dish on the menu can be tweaked to create a vegan dish. There’s no non dairy replacement for cream in the kitchen for anything on the pasta side. The salads are not very customizable either as most dressings include honey.
After 30 minutes of attempting to coordinate with kitchen an option, decided to order the Al Capone with a wheat free base and all (3) of the vegan options. Did not enjoy the texture of the soy strips (not a fan of soy or meat substitutes), the vegan cheese was more on the mozzarella side and not spread over the entire pizza .. & the crust was very under baked, dooey almost, and flimsy.
when the menu grows a bit more to include clients with a bit more restricted eating style, a vegan cream substitute is introduced to kitchen staff, and menu reflects the many eclectic personalities that work here .. will go...

🍽️ I had the Fillet Saltimbocca – pepper-crusted fillet medallions sautéed in herbed olive oil, served on a bed of fettuccine layered with prosciutto, mozzarella, bacon, mushrooms, and smothered in a creamy white sauce. It was luxuriously rich, beautifully cooked, and every mouthful delivered bold, comforting flavour. A truly indulgent dish that’s worth every bite.
🥩 My partner had the Lamb Fettuccine, which featured slow-cooked lamb, red peppers, and Portabellini mushrooms in a creamy lamb sauce. The sauce had just the right balance of creaminess and depth, and the lamb was melt-in-your-mouth tender. It had a rustic, home-cooked feel – hearty and full of flavour.
🧀 We topped it off with fresh parmesan and chili flakes on the side (brought out without even asking – nice touch!), and the service was warm and attentive throughout.
✅ If you’re after quality Italian food with generous portions and loads of flavour, Casa Bella Menlyn is a must. Can’t wait to come back and try more off this fantastic menu.

Upon arrival we were told that they only do the Date Night special on Tuesday (we went on a Saturday) and were not aware of the the 3 course meal from their online menu, we asked for the manager and she was so accommodating that she explained that they were not aware but they will make a plan for us by letting us do a 3 course meal. The waitress was friendly and very helpful and very sweet. The food was amazing and delicious, when we asked for the food to come at a certain time the waitress was very accommodating. Even though their was a slight confusion about the menu the people at the restaurant did not turn us away but rather went out of their way to accommodate us. Everything was 10/10 and our date night was made special by the great service. Will definitely come...
