Panarottis Menlyn — Restaurant in Gauteng

Surely the smallest "standard size" pizza you ever did see. Im a small fella, 65kg, and I ate the thing and wondered if had ordered the kids meal. Pizza is below average, on a level with Dr Oetker frozen pizzas from PnP, but they chuck some extra toppings on. Not that pizza is a tricky dish, so it all comes down to service, but that was lame. I wish sometimes I could just get up and go get my own drink, rather than spend 20 - 30min watching the waiter struggle with 2 tables. Restaurants should have a device where you can type in your order, get up and go get it yourself. Modern waiters cant multi-task, it confuses them, so if someone asks for "a glass of water", they go off just for that then stand while its poured, and come back with it. Rather than try do 3 or 4 things in a trip. But ok, the place is a franchise, and in menlyn, so survives because of...

Food was good however our waitress was not... Overall she seemed very inexperienced and as if she did not know the procedures followed when being a waiter/waitress... Once we were done with our meal, she had brought our takeaway boxes and disappeared, she didn't bother to ask us if we wanted dessert, when we finally saw her and wanted to order it she told us that the kitchen had closed and we could not even get a coffee, she didn't even bother to inform us beforehand that the kitchen was closing and ask us if we wanted anything before that happens, she also clearly told me that the lady by the coffee machine had told them she was disconnecting everything some time ago.... Our highlight at Panarottis is the coffee and we were really looking forward to it as well as my daughter wanting her dessert... Disappointing ending...

I have been boycotting Panarottis for the last 6 months due to the incompentancy of the management and staff at the Jean Crossing store. I have logged complaints to HO but nothing ever got sorted out in that shop hence its a no go. But to my suprise after I was told by Yolanda that Ernst was fired due to some explicit reasons I have ran into him at the Menlynn store. Now how can a opps manager tell me she fired a person and then I found the best manager you have in the group in Menlynn?? That is disturbing following the accusations made by Yolanda!!Anyways I have now found my best peoples person again and you as Panarottis must look after Ernst because managers like him you wont find just anywhere. Thanks Ernst for always serving me with the respect and dignity a customer deserves.You are the best Panarottis...
