Thanks to the incredible team at Eastgate Mugg & Bean being waitron, Lee Ann, and the manager, Dingane.

Lee Ann was an absolute gem—warm, attentive, and intuitive. She struck the perfect balance between friendly and professional. She made us feel welcomed and taken care of, like we were longtime regulars.

But the true standout of the branch was Dingane, the manager. His leadership and presence were unmistakable. He made a point to check in personally with us, and it didn’t feel like a formality—it felt sincere. Dingane exudes hospitality; you can tell he sets the tone for the entire team. His charisma, attention to detail, and ability to connect with guests made a lasting impression. It’s rare to meet a manager who not only ensures everything runs smoothly but also genuinely enhances your experience.

Thanks again to Lee Ann and Dingane for turning a good meal into a pleasure being served at Mugg &...

Will def not be returning to Mugg & Bean Eastgate. Trading hours states 7:30 on Sundays. We arrive there at 8:00. No one to wlecome you, as they are still cleaning tables and nothing ready to service customers.

They are mopping the floors with the most dirtiest of mops which smells so bad you cant breath. We sit down and are then asked to pick another table because we are in the way of the man who wants to mop there.

No one to assist clients as all are busy with sorting out sugar, salt etc for tables. In the 15 mins we sat there, I noticed that not once was the mops used to clean the floors rinsed out, using the same disgusting mop throughout the whole store. We left as we just could not handle the gross smell hanging around any longer.

Hope the kitchen is cleaner than front of house. No wonder the previous store closed. No management or supervision. Very dissapointing and concerning with...

A Monday Treat at Mugg and Bean Eastgate

I had the Peppermint Crisp Cake and the Serious Cappuccino. I thoroughly enjoyed the choice of cake, the fresh cream and caramel combo have a nice finish, the caramel just melts in your mouth. The cake is moist and the sponge is soft which just adds to the overall cake tasting experience. The cake is also topped with a Tennis Biscuit & Chocolate mint sprinkles to add to the sweet finish.I’d highly recommend this particular flavour, it’s worth the hype.

To balance my sugar craving I had the Serious cappuccino and I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking for a strong coffee blend.

If you are looking for a quiet space, this restaurant is perfectly placed. It’s downstairs away from the noise and the perfect spot to either work or reset.

Thank you to Joshua for the amazing service, my coffee and cake treat wouldn’t be complete without your warm...

Had a quick family breakfast before a shop. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I ordered the buffalo chicken eggs benedict; it was quite tasty however very rich, definitely needed something fresh in the dish to break that richness. My wifes eggs Benedict were well cooked and the flavors complimented eachother. My mother in law had the crispy chicken strips and throughly enjoyed the crunchy tenderness. The avo on toast is simple yet elevated with fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back

This Mugg & Bean opened recently and I had to give it a try. Everything from the decor to the cutlery felt new and polished. They served great tasting food with fresh ingredients. I got the Butternut salad that came with a delicious dressing. The corn fritters were alright, just a bit too starchy and not enough corn. Nice plating though, and the service was good. It's a great place for breakfast/lunch at Eastgate, find it downstairs next to Edgar's.
