PAULâs croissants are incredible. However, regarding hot meals, I have had mixed experiences and have yet to enjoy a truly memorable one, hence the 4 stars.
The service can be hit or miss. For example, one time I arrived at 5:15 pm and ordered a croque monsieur, which has a fried egg on it. They brought me a croque madame instead, without the egg. Upon bringing it to the waitressâs attention, she said she would bring the egg. She returned (5.30 pm) only to say the grill had already been switched off, so they could not cook the egg for me.
Come onâyou close at 6:00 pm, and if the grill is off, then grab a small pan and fry the egg. It is as simple as that, especially since it was your mistake in the first place. This is one of the differences between PAUL and Tashas next doorâthe latter cares about customer service, particularly when it is their hiccup.

I particularly enjoy Paul for breakfast, with the eggs Benedict, omelette or French toast never disappointing. They have great pasta dishes too should you happen to be around for lunch or supper.
Whatâs special about Paul is the ambience. Modelled on delicatessens and savoir-faire, fining at Paul inspires engagement and great conversation.
I have yet to be able to order and eat dessert with my food as their meals are quite filling. I once ordered the crĂȘpe Suzette pancakes to go, and quite enjoyed it once I got home.
Evenings at Paul are amazing as the service is extremely quick, professional and efficient. Great for a quiet date-night or catching up with old friends and you need to hear...

The layout of the tables was equally lackluster, giving the impression that no effort was invested in creating a pleasant dining environment.
Service: The service was horrendous. With only two waiters attending to the entire restaurant, the service was severely lacking. Not once were we checked on during our meal. The waiting time for our food was excessively long, leaving us frustrated and hungry.
Food: dessert was awful. Tasted like frozen...
