TRUST ME 💯% FOLKS; I NEVER GIVE FALSE INFORMATION... ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO GOOD HEALTHY, SOLID FOOD. This week we had the IMMENSE JOY of being ABLE to experience ENJOYING EATING DINNER with one of OUR OUTGOING ELDERS. When he arrived, we collected him with his luggage, and knowing he was hungry and HONESTLY, so was I ‼️✔️ I invited him to walk through O.R. Tambo FOOD COURT and choose his FAVORITE RESTAURANT ‼️ NOW, believe me or not, I didn't MAKE a single suggestion and yet his first word was: "SPURS." (Secretly, I was THRILLED and DELIGHTED ‼️☑️ But, I didn't SAY a SINGLE WORD, and we kept walking through the FOOD COURT ... ALL the way☑️) FINALLY, WE WENT THROUGH IT ALL and He was capable of making an informed decision. Surprise ‼️☑️✔️ He still chose: "SPURS." I knew then, "ALL WOULD BE WELL ‼️" They NEVER LEAVE A STONE Unturned... THEY satisfy ALL of THEIR CUSTOMERS, who are truly THEIR Friends ‼️ So, they have food for everyone ‼️ We ordered: Hake and chips with mint ice cream milkshake. First customer at OUR table voted A+ ... 😁‼️ T-bone Steak with baked 🥔 and 🥗‼️ Second customer at OUR table voted A+... 😄‼️ Chicken Schnitzel with shrimp and sauce, with butternut squash and a fresh delicious green 😋 🥗. Yummy food ‼️🎯 Third customer at OUR table voted A+... 😍‼️ None of us could eat the entire SERVING the waiter brought and he had no hesitation to BRING a number of boxes to OUR table, to help us pack up, when we were finally finished and needed to head back to Pretoria SOUTH AFRICA ‼️ Another cheerful expedition SUCCESSFULLY completed at SPUR .... There decorations and Birthday spirit of 12-15 workers SINGING robustly as they surround the Birthday party PERSON BRINGS such a FEELING of WELCOME, LOVE, and JOY... THAT SPIRIT BRINGS a SHARED JOY ‼️ PEACE and LOVE to everyone 🎁 in the AREA at that time. When we look at our crippled tourism industry and think covid is to blame, it is purely because we don't realize that this Spur is actually to blame. This spur is, after all, the first spur that any tourist to this country sees. What a joke.

Sat down an hour and a half before the boarding gates for our flight opened. Ordered drinks which came without incident. Then we ordered a smiley face with viennas for the little one and 2 x cheddamelt steak (rare) and chips for us.

Fast forward an hour, we were starting to get anxious as to whether we're even going to get our food before we have to leave or not. The manager strolls around without so much as making eye contact with any of the patrons and instead has fat chats with the staff. The wait staff are completely useless. An hour in, out waitress informs us that the delay is due to there not being viennas, so we request that the viennas be swopped out with fish fingers, chicken nuggets, literally anything at this point, as we need to catch a flight.

Eventually our food arrives as follows: Chips (not smiley faces) and viennas (LOL) for the little one. 2 x steaks (medium) for us. We ask the waitress to just amend our order on the till slip then as we're not having cheddamelt steaks as per our request, but normal steaks with no sauce, no cheese.

She deadass brings us 2 slices of cheese, and 2 bowls of sauce and proceeds to use the forks we're busy eating with to place our cheese onto our steaks. At our table. Not back in the kitchen.

So now we're eating lukewarm steaks with cheese that won't melt. Inhaling them because we need to leave in 15 minutes.

Asked 4 times for a takeaway container for the little one because he wouldn't be able to eat his food in time anymore. 4 times.

Still paid for our order and when the waitress asked if she's not getting a tip, I informed her that tips are earned based on good service.

I have never felt more ashamed of the service a tourist to this country...
