My friend and I went to Summit Grill today without knowing they had two events happening and that the restaurant would be so busy. We only found out when the waiter told us, and we understood things might take longer because of that.
However, we had a really disappointing experience. The waiter was rushing around attending to the event guests, and we could barely find him when we needed him. When we gave him that feedback, he got defensive and seemingly annoyed at us.
At first, we weren’t planning to order food but later changed our minds, which I believe should be completely okay. Instead of feeling welcomed, the waiter got upset, saying he had already asked us three times if we wanted to order. We were still deciding, and his rude attitude made us feel so uncomfortable and if it wasn’t for my friend, I would have left immediately.
Another thing that bothered me is that we also had to wait a very long time just to get something as simple as a teaspoon. I understand busy days are tough, but customers shouldn’t have to suffer poor service because of that. When I called them, they immediately knew who I was and addressed me by name. I was taken aback by surprise. Not only me but my family too. I felt at ease. When we got there we were warmly greeted.
