After visiting the original restaurant 3 years ago I was delighted by the intimacy and attention to detail and the personal care! When you expand ,sometimes things change and you loose a lot of that detail ,and ambiance! The venue is now a double story sand stone house in the very centre of town! It has been beautifully fitted out in dark, shadowy colours with lots of little interesting rooms and a great back garden perfect for private functions! The wine list is large and reflects the region! The food still has a strong international feel with a definite Middle Eastern influence! Wonderful fresh ingredients are presented in many different ways! I loved the smokey Baba Ganouche! The hummus and pulled beef rib wrapped in Phyllo!A little too large perhaps and better served as two separate wraps! Also a tad dry inside! What did disappoint was the pita bread which I felt was more shop bought than home made. Otherwise a great lunch with a delicious bottle of Rose sponsored at the Chelsea...
Read moreI honestly cannot recommend Carola Ann's enough. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the owners and staff are wonderful people and their restaurant has a great atmosphere (especially their monthly Friday night dinners). I've had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Carola Ann's and everything has been delicious (the banana bread french toast is a favorite of mine). The passionfruit cake Corelie made was super delicious as well. It was honestly such a perfect night and everytime I find myself in Mossel Bay I am going to Carola Ann's and when I am lucky enough to be there for a friday night dinner, I am definitely making...

That’s why I was so surprised to pass by Carola Ann's on weekend. With various vegetarian (and even vegan option), they figured a way to make delicious food without meat. I ordered their Green Veggie Breakfast Bowl with pan fried broccoli, zucchini, eggplant, spinach and garlic infused mushrooms. With a side of see crackers, poached eggs sprinkled with zaatar and a potato rosti. It was a wonderful bowl of healthy and delicious...
