Object Cafe — Restaurant in George

It took 40 minutes (not a typo) to receive our coffees and water, and almost a full hour to receive our breakfast. We actually asked for our check so we could leave after we received our coffee since the food was still nowhere to be found, but were then told our food was being plated at that moment so we decided to wait even longer. There were only 3 other tables taken out of the entire restaurant when we arrived so they weren’t overly busy or overwhelmed by any means. (The other guests who came with/after us all received their food and left before we even received our coffees. We were told that it was because they pre-ordered the special lunch that day? My mom and I went for a pot of tea and a slice of cake. What gripped me was the beautiful lorcelain china teacups and saucers and a proper teapot. So often these days, places serve tea in a stainless steel pot and 'office' cups and saucers. We ended up sharing a slice of thr baked caramel cheesecake because we got quiches to take home. Food was delicious and fresh.

Went back the following day with Dad in tow. He and I opted for the German breakfast, and mom had an open omelette. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous.

The prices are very reasonable and there is enough street parking close by. They also sell a variety of biscuits that are baked on the premises.
