The location is great in relation to other attractions and amenities, but it is not easy to find it, especially in the night. Both Google Maps and Waze could not give the exact entrance and location to La Peron and we even passed the entrance twice. It took us 20min to find the restaurant amidst road closure because of a Christmas parade taking place. The restaurant owner(s) will have to illuminate the sign in the night and make it more visible during the day. The staff are friendly and accommodating of our needs, especially when we struggled to find the place. They kept our food warm and was even ready to set us a table but we opted for take-away and they packed it all for us. Inside the restaurant, the layout and vibe is good, especially in the evenings, with good music. The food looks good on the menu but if you're a health conscious person, you'll have to confirm how the food is made - (deep) fried or grilled. Because of its location, you can walk around to other restaurants or attractions during the day or have a relaxed dinner in...

Arrived late on a rainy Sunday at 20.50, kitchen was still open and we ordered the seafood platter for two.

Although it was windy and rainy outside, we could sit next to a fireplace which is located inside a big tent with a proper chimney that you don't get smoked.

In addition the sides of the tent were covered with moskito nets or something that we felt like beeing inside.

Food was good although the scampi where a bit overcooked.

Tables were cleaned before we sat down and staff was very attentive. Paying by card no problem and parking right in front of the entrance. Some chilled rock music played on the speakers.

All in all good value for money and must be a good party location if the...

Can't say my experience matched the overall rating. Had the mussel soup as a starter which was indeed very good. But, the main meal of the Karoo burger was very disappointing, supposedly topped with biltong and blue cheese, I couldn't see anything other than a burger patty and some salad. The burger itself was only just warm. With yet another power failure, but this time apparently because the boss hadn't paid for electric, it was hard to see much at all and no point in asking for a replacement meal. Restaurant floor is just sand and all evening we could feel things on our feet. Thankfully it seems we weren't bitten but that feeling didn't...

What a wonderful surprise when we walked into this little paradise. It felt like we entered a Beach Cafe on a exotic island. The sand below your feet, the palm trees, beach hut and fire pit all add to the experience of being on holiday. The food was out of this world delicious and presented with such heart and love. They also have a vegetarian platter that is fantastic. Natasha was our friendly waitress who was attentive and sweet. This is truly a must visit for locals and tourist. I will definitely be coming again soon and I will make a point to tell everyone visiting mosselbay to visit this little gem on the Harbour.

La Peron is the hidde treasure of Mosselbay. People tend to drive past this exquisite restuarant because it is quite hidde around the harbor area in Mosselbay. This restaurant has a welcoming, relaxing vibe to it. We enjoyed the life music and open fires. It's also not over crowed. The food was fantastic. We had a chicken Cordon Bleu and the 50% beef/50% kudu hamburger, and I was really surprised about the size of the portion. We also had the all time favorite mussel soup. I highly recommend this treasure.
