Krotoa — Restaurant in George

Based on a busy corner in Mosselbay so always road noise- nice spot for quick catchup chat. Not if you want a bit of quiet. Window seating and comfy couches in the next room. Ordered an Americano, nice big cup but did not like the thick rim, the coffee was nice though. Ordered a brownie which was warmed up in the microwave to a crisp. They suggested the cup lemon-meringue. Not to sweat,if it was not for the overpowering lemon, it would have been nice. It left a tangy, powdery taste in my mouth and had to ask for water afterward. 2nd visit, this time for lunch.

Coffee (decaf) was hot, and only half finished by the time or plates arrived. Eggs Benedict on rosti was excellent, with soft yoke, good ham, sweet onions, a nice crunch from the rosti potato base, and the crispy homemade chips on the side. Husband's salmon salad was good.

The prior visit for breakfast was exceptional. The French toast is too die for (savory and sweet) and the frittata was also delicious, with lots of fresh flavor from the mushrooms.

One of my more preferred chilled spots around the corner. Don't be in a rush going to the point or you'll miss it !! The staff is always super friendly and lekka to talk to... like we almost family. Superb service.... Superb Staff .... when you are trying to get some work done its easy to be focused here or park of like a hippy on the comfy couches... either way.
