Terrible customer service. Today a chip(fries) fell out of the hot sauce bottle while i was pouring it on my plate.
The supervisor then sorts it out n says my meal is free, then my waitress comes over to ask is everything is good i say yes im about done can i please get a toothpick, and asks if i have a family card, i do and i give it to her…
Problem 2: she comes with the bill then i tell her my meal is free and asks what she happened…I point to the supervisor, and i tell her please speak to her as she said my meal is free. She gives me an attitude, and says no i have to tell her why after that she laughs at my face and says then why did you ask for the bill. I did not ask for the bill, she asked me if i had the rewards card. What CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS?
When i spoke to the supervisor about the waitress’s attitude she butts in, the supervisor has to hold her back as if she wants to fight me shouting “nobody told me your meal was free”😭. Supervisor saying be quiet to her. The other waitress that serves my family a-lot comes to me and asks what is wrong.
If there was miscommunication with her and her supervisor why would she give me an attitude and behave so aggressively that her superviser had to hold her back?
Screaming “you asked for the bill!!” if my meal is free why am i asking for the bill? Im not stupid.
Also What are fries doing inside a bottle of sauce??? This was very traumatic finding fries in the hot sauce but i remained calm and said to myself it didn’t contaminated my entire plate let me be calm. But the Waitress’s attitude fighting me thats what left me in tears. Ruined my entire morning.
I am torn because spur is my go to restaurant in gateway and today you lost a loyal customer. I wouldn’t have left this review honestly if it wasn’t for that waitress.

We ordered our meals (Half Cheddarmelt Schnitzel and Hot Nachos), we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our meals. When my mother received her Schnitzel it was cold. The kitchen burnt the first batch of my Nachos and had to make a new batch, the message was only relayed when the "manager", Shaun, came to our table to explain the delay. Shaun by the way gave a half-assed apology and seemed very disinterested and insincere. When the Nachos eventually arrived, it was unbearably spicy that I could not even enjoy the meal. The portion of Schnitzel was half the size of what we usually receive and was tasteless. We did not call the manager as we were not prepared to sit another 40 minutes for the meals to be corrected. The waiter (I forgot his name) was the only waiter who seemed frazzled and always busy. After Shaun coming to the table to tell us about the Nachos he avoided us for the rest of the time we were there.
The new management is incompetent and pathetic. There is no value in what we are paying for. Galicia cheese roll was a bun with garlic butter, which had to be sent back cause the butter wasn't even melted. The ribs we had were cooked well. But the basting was like someone just drizzled some bottle BBQ sauce on it before servicing it. This is definitely a restaurant I won't be returning to easily.

Got a call regarding my review from the manager, "Linda" He was very concerned about the experience we had at his restaurant and invited us back to enjoy dinner at the level it should be. We arrived at the restaurant and had our names taken down as it was full. We were promptly seated a few minutes after and had our orders taken. The exact same items we had last time. Our order was promptly taken down.
We did receive our starter and main at the same time. I was extremely surprised that everything was done to perfection. We even received finger washing bowls, which is usually a hit and miss at spurs.
Our meal was definitely top-notch, as well as the service received. This was the level of food expected on the first visit.
