A gem on Durban's Golden Mile, the Beach Cafe has it all. Overlooking the warm Indian Ocean, this seaside restaurant is the perfect blend of relaxed ocean vibes and a great foodie experience. The open-air dining area allows you to enjoy the salty sea breeze, the soothing sounds of the ocean and the vibe of happy, cheerful passersby.
The decor and overall restaurant feel is a tasteful mix of minimalism, clean, coastal and contemporary, allowing for a relaxed and easy lounging and luncheon experience.
The menu is a delightful fusion of local and international flavors. A great array of starters and light meals complements the more exotic and loaded menu comprising flavourful curries, grilled baby chicken, packed pastas, gourmet burgers and other delights, including a full on platter, of either meat or fresh seafood which includes succulent queen prawns, calamari, mussels and fish, all perfectly seasoned and cooked. The main courses offer something for everyone, including great vegetarian options, with an almost always packed restaurant and very satisfied patrons.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert – the coconut crème brûlée and freshly baked cakes are simply divine.
The drinks menu is just as impressive, featuring a variety of refreshing cocktails, local wines, beers and more.
The staff at the Beach Cafe are friendly, attentive, and always ready to make your dining experience unforgettable. Make sure you ask for Pascal or get the right royal treatment from the manager himself, Civic.
