Wimpy — Restaurant in North Beach

Service was disrespectful & unprofessional. I arrived to a till lady on her personal phone & sharing jokes with the kitchen staff. She ignored me. I helped myself by picking up & perusing through the menu. While she prioritized serving a customer who came after me & who was not yet ready to order while I was, I went next door to Steers & ordered. I come back with food from next door & then order at Wimpy. While waiting, I think to pour sauce for my Wimpy order on the side because I know the sachets will not be enough. A manager or overseer rushes to the till lady & says something to her. She then rushes to me & with zero professional customer relations tact & yells at me to please stop what I am doing & to not get her in trouble. And both her and the manager person both execute some intimidation tact of snatching the sauce carrier away even though there was no resistance nor argument on my part. It was so appalling & insulting. I then approach the manager & explain to him that I am pouring this sauce for my Wimpy order & to please get me some sauce. So he instructs the lady to give me 1 sachet of sauce. I ask for more sachets & she gives me 1 more sachet. Why is Wimpy management counting sauce? Why is Wimpy staff afraid to give out sauce? Why did I have to eat a meal with inadequate sauce content that I wanted for my order? This hateful attitude & lack luster customer service was such a low class & poverty approach to customer's needs. Do better Wimpy Northbeach! Food was nice. Had a mega breakfast with an extra cheese griller accompanied by a wimpy coffee. After my order was taken and food placed in front of me I never saw the waitress again. Never came to ask me if food is fine or if I needed something. She disappeared and went to sit wit a group of 2 men and 2 women until I called another waiter. He called her where she was sitting with the group of people chatting and enjoying themselves. Do Wimpy personnel not get the same training than all others in other Wimpy branches. Clearly Wimpy North Beach branch do not care about their customers. I think it was very unprofessional. Their staff clearly need etiquette and service training. I used to work at Checkers when I was young and for sure I would have been fired if I acted like this. Likewise currently in my professional world the same applies. Wimpy is situated on the promenade and is now Halaal. We went in for waffles but unfortunately the ice cream was not ready. We decided to have a salted caramel milkshake, choc dessert. They also had a special on the crispy onion burger with a drink and chips for 79,99. The burger was flavourful and fresh. The drinks were yummy and we shared the dessert. The waitress was very friendly. I enjoyed my experience that we went back on Sunday when it was super busy because of an event taking place. We didn’t wait long for a table. We waited around 20 minutes for our food which we didn’t mind because of the rush. We ordered the burger special as well as mix grills, a champion meal . We added spinach and butternut.
