Lupa, a beautiful setting in the new Kwena Square in Little Falls. Sunday from 15h00, had a proper pizza, came hot and tasty. Hot plate, good quality. Served by Siyabonga who is passionate and attentive to what a client wants. Pleasant atmosphere. Keep the consistency and quality and we will be back. ⭐

4thDec22: Lupo Kwena, without a doubt was the first place that we would go to as it was the only decent restaurant in the area that we came across that served amazing pasta, gnocchi and pizza. But something has happened and we've mentioned this in our last few visits to help. The pizza base: It is all about the base... Ingredients have been changed and the base is not the same. The last few times we have been here, up to today it has been disappointing 😢. Quality of pizza base has gone down. I don't usually like gnocchi but loved your real potato gnocchi with several visits to your amazing restaurant. Today, it was mushy and tasted like polento or pap and overcooked 🫡. They tried it again but it seems to have come from the same batch and the sauce was not like in previous times 😢. The bolognese sauce used to be absolutely out of this world, but not today. Your 'Grande' is also a normal portion for people who eat regular portions, where your regular is a kiddies size in a bowl. We've mentioned this before as we've seen the menu changed since our first few visits, portion sizes have changed and so have the ingredients. The delicious dessert as shown in my picture also has been downsized from this first time we were there and is at the same price of R75 😔.

5thDec22: Owner called me personally and apologized for the experience we had. Confirmed that they already had a meeting early am to attend to the need to revert back to the ingredients that worked and other things.

I recently visited Lupa Osteria with my family, eager to experience its highly rated Italian cuisine. As big fans of Italian food, we were excited to dine at this renowned spot on a Friday evening,

Ambiance

Lupa Osteria is beautifully designed, offering a charming and inviting atmosphere. The interior was visually appealing, making it a promising choice for a family meal.

Service

Unfortunately, the service was not up to par. Despite the restaurant being relatively empty, we were told it was fully booked, which dampened our spirits. The waiter seemed disengaged and not very attentive, which made the overall service feel forced and unwelcoming.

Food

Pizza: The pizza was average—similar to what you might find at more casual spots and take aways—lacking the unique, flavorful touch I expected from such a highly rated restaurant.

Pasta: I ordered the prawn pasta, which was fine but nothing remarkable, and the dishes ordered by my wife and daughter were also just okay. The food was decent but didn’t leave a lasting impression.

Overall Experience

I would rate the food 3 to 4 out of 5. The lackluster service, however, was a letdown. While I might consider giving Lupa Osteria another chance, I was more impressed by the Portuguese restaurant next door.
