Simply Asia Sea Point — Restaurant in Sea Point

Despite the place was absolutely empty no-one came to me. I sat for some time and felt I needed to go to a loo. Surprisingly, "due to water restrictions the toilet now is closed and requires R2 coin to enter it". What? Do they buy Valpré water to flush the toilet or what? Anyway, I didn't have a R2 coin, I had my bank card only, and I had a big pressure to go to the loo, girls understand. Again, a waitress was less than helpful. She just shrinked her shoulder and said there's an ATM somewhere outside. So I was suggested to go somewhere and withdraw cash, and exchange it somewhere for coins, and make sure there's a R2 coin, and then come back to visit a loo flushed with Valpré water and to eat at Simply Asia, where a waitress doesn't bother to approach a client. What an awesome experience this was. Firstly my wife and I had to walk almost 1 kilometer to get to the new location of the establishment. We knew what we wanted and we were prepared to put in the effort. The service was very good. But the meals were better and very tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta meals. To show our gratitude, we even gave the chefs a tip. I personally told the chef how grateful we were and how much we enjoyed our meals. Definitely a great place to enjoy a good meal. Remember that you can acknowledge the person(s) who prepares your meal. Remember that they are the people who will make you choose to return or avoid the establishments in future. Quite disappointed. We’ve had simply Asia from all over South Africa and even come to that sea points new branch was the best but after the last service, sit in was terribly displeasing, my son loved his sushi but as far as our regular go to 505 and 314. Subpar. Average. Veg in the 505 was almost mia, wish I took a photo. Had two big pieces of beef that were unbearable to chew. It was completely drenched in sauce. 314 just looked like it was rushed. Dried out cucumber.

Sit in has a longer wait period than takeout. Rather take your time and deliver a proper meal than rushing it out like takeout. Definitely not returning.
