I am eternally grateful to this establishment for demonstrating with peerless efficiency the true depths of mediocrity to which the culinary arts might descend. The aggressively uninspired flavor profile of the house's supposed "speciality", the butter chicken, has given me new appreciation for all palatable cuisine by providing such a stark contrast to the same. For the good of the restaurant and any poor soul who might, in the future, wander unwittingly into it, some must inform the chef that curry is not made by diluting canned tomato paste with a bit of creamer. The samosa is fit only for use as a cat toy. Assuming they do not break their teeth, diners will be overwhelmed with disappointment to find a flavorless beige paste within. A chai without spices. A curry without soul. Naan so dry and brittle it might be of use as campfire kindling, but will be of little help to those hoping to soak up the curry which they have ordered - this mechanical difficulty might prove to be a mercy, though, as it will with any luck minimize the amount of the wretched tomato sauce that actually makes it to...
Read moreWithout exaggerating- that was the worst service I’ve ever received anywhere in the world. The waiter was so rude to everyone in the restaurant. He all but rolled his eyes when we entered for a table of two, then tossed the menus on the table without even looking at us or saying a word. After half our order came out we waited for the rest (the rice and drinks) and he avoided eye contact and pretended not to see us trying to get his attention— the venue holds maybe 25 guests so that’s pretty hard to do. We ate our entire meal without the rice and drinks and the whole time he wouldn’t come near us. Then when we approached him to pay the bill the full order was on the screen and he tried to charge us for it anyway. When we politely let him know we didn’t get three of the items he just smashed the touch screen to delete them and then snatched our card to pay the bill. Genuinely...
Read moreAbsolutely disappointing – avoid at all costs if you’re looking for real Indian food.
As an Indian, I was excited to try this place, hoping for an authentic experience. What I got instead was stale, reheated, and clearly packaged food passed off as fresh. We ordered tandoori chicken and butter chicken with basmati rice – paid 68,000 won – and received something that tasted like it came straight from a microwave. Zero flavor, zero authenticity, and a total rip-off.
This is not Indian cuisine. This is a disgrace to Indian cuisine.
If you genuinely know and love Indian food, do yourself a favor: don’t waste your time or money here. There are better places in Korea that actually understand what Indian food is supposed to be. This place is all marketing,...
