We stopped by this restaurant for lunch on a weekday in May and it was quite busy with a 15-20 minute wait. This restaurant was hard to find, so I took some updated pics so you'll know what to look for. When you arrive, there is a sheet of paper on the wall in the hallway where you have your write you name, number of people, and select everything in you want to order in advance before you get seated. We didn't know what we were doing so a lovely local customer helped us select the right options on the sheet. The decor on the inside is largely Disney animation and related things which I didn't understand lol. The main food was pretty good. It was a bit complicated to eat, but a fun experience overall. A tad spicy but more hot (temperature-wise) than anything given that the fish cakes, rice pasta, cabbage, etc. were all in the boiling broth. However, I didn't like the garlic/mayo/butter...
Read moreThis tteokbokki place has a very cute, almost kiddish atmosphere. The place is decorated with a bunch of little toys. You get your own pot to cook the tteokbokki and can choose what ingredients you want to add.
The tteokbokki was very spicy. I like spicy foods, but even this was bordering too spicy, so keep that in mind if you cannot handle heat. However, all of the ingredients were soft and tasty. I also ordered the cheesy fries, which were very interesting. They tasted like parmesan and garlic but were also sweet and crispy. I recommend getting them.
This place is a chain, so there are probably better hidden tteokbokki gems out there, but I thought it was still a good...
