I had a really bad experience to visit this restaurant.
I was a single traveller to visit this restaurant on May 2nd, 2024. When I told the staff I was only one person, he asked me to pick the most expensive one from the menu and also need to pay before eating. I was wondering if this was a culture in Korea. The staff didn’t provide any explanation.
When I started to eat, I observed that the other people not required to pay first and they could select anything from the menu. Why I was treated differently. Once I finished my lunch, I asked the same staff why I had to pay first. His English is not good and he used google translate to tell me because I was one person. Single person may run away once finished. I said I was just a tourist and felt contempt. I asked where I could find these information somewhere so that I could decide if I still want to try this restaurant. He showed annoying and didn’t reply to me.
Besides, I asked why I need to pick the expensive one from the menu but he never gave me the answer. While I was waiting for the answer, he kept calling the phone. I asked what we were waiting now as I need to catch the flight back to Canada.
He didn’t let me go and said he called the police. WHAT!!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😡. I questioned him what’s wrong for me. I paid the bills already and I just asked for clarification. What’s the reason to call the police and he just want me to miss my flight 😡. He said he was threatened. I told him he tried to scare me because I was a woman and also a single traveller.
Finally I had been waited for the police for more than 20 minutes. The police came and communicated with me in English. I told the police the whole incident and felt insulted. It was so ridiculous how this restaurant treated the tourists like this. I demand an apology but the police said he couldn’t force him to do it. I was so furious. I got that the staff actually was a store manager.
I wrote this review to remind anyone who visit this restaurant especially you are a single traveller. You will be forced to select the expensive item and need to pay before eating. Also ,be aware the bad service and how they treat the customers. If you ask for more information or explanation, they will call the police.
I will ask my Korean friend to see where to file a complaint to the tourist...

The cashier asked me to pay prior seating also he charged me the most expensive one it was $22.900krw. I asked him why can’t i order the $17.000 ish he said no without specific reason. How would you expect me to finished bowl of chicken and 1,5 liter of pepsi by myself. That’s a waste of food. Later on i found out ppl who were seating next to me order the normal one (bcs its not included with chicken and pepsi). The quality of meat was okay, nothing special. The staff was rude, I asked them where’s the chopstick and salt and pepper. They told me to go to station and get by yourself. Also the soup keeps boiling i asked them how can you stop it. They asked me if i finished eating so they can turn it off, i said no. Also she told me to refill the soup by myself so it’s not burning. But i don’t want another soup so i was just let it go. When it burned she took my water and pour it to the pan. Will not comeback to this place!!
-I’m replying to your feedback here. I do understand about paying prior seating. However, he didn’t tell me the exact reason why. If it’s ala carte restaurant most of the restaurants required to order 2 meats but it is an ayce restaurant. About the soup, that’s what i’m saying, i was worried it burned so i called the waitress, but she was rudely told me u finished eating? (she wanted to turned off the stove), and the i said no, i’m still eating and she said to get the soup(it’s not like i want a soup, i was asking how to prevent the pot from burning) so i ignored her, later on 1 of the waitress took my water and pour it to the pot. She could just told me earlier to put normal water into it. Anyway thank you for taking my feedback seriously. I hope you’re business...
Read more⚠️ Warning: TOURIST TRAP AND SCAM do not go here!!! This is the worst grill I’ve been to in Korea. Yes, it’s cheap and you can eat as much as you want for two hours. We paid very little, about 20,000 won per person. But the food quality is extremely low and the grill is gas. The meat tastes bad and is really unpleasant. I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews—this place is just not good. The low quality is not worth the low price. I’d much rather pay more and actually enjoy the food.
I am editing my review after the restaurant’s response. I honestly don’t understand it at all, and I find the reply quite rude. It only reinforces my impression that this restaurant has bought some of its reviews. We had no issue with the time limit. The problem was the food itself, which was of very low quality and tasted terrible. We stopped eating about an hour after entering and only stayed to finish our beer. We didn’t take more food simply because it was not good.
Perhaps my original review was misunderstood due to the language barrier? My point was never about the time limit, but about the quality and taste of the food, which was awful and the worst I’ve had in Korea. The response from the restaurant was...
