Date: January 24, 2020 - Friday, 4 pm Ordered: Two chicken curries, Two naan breads, Basmati rice, a Coke, and Milk tea. Total Cost: ₩51,000
I treated out a colleague of mine here reserving our place two days ahead of time.
FIRST, the food is fantastic. I really recommend the Chicken Tiki (?) Dish. Tip: ordering extra basmati rice and the naan bread is a good choice if you order two curries. Both the rice and the naan was perfectly cooked and arrived warm.
SECOND, the restaurant is clean and easy to find. They provided us with wet wipes upon request and gave us a table for four even though we were only two, which we greatly appreciated - thank you! *We were next to the door with a lot of foot traffic, slightly uncomfortable for the person sitting by the walkway (me).
THIRD, they speak both english and korean. They answered our questions politely and were kind enough. I feel they could have been more warm and friendly, with smiles for us - but they didnt really smile at us often. They smiled more often to the other guests who seemed to be of the same ethnicity. Perhaps because they're more familiar. However, they were never rude.
FOURTH, my colleague was quite disappointed because they didn't have the beef masala available. The waitress said they didn't have beef prepared (?). Not sure why because it was already late afternoon. Both my colleague and I felt this was unfair and the restaurant should have notified us before hand if there would be unavailable meat on the menu. No beef? Only chicken and lamb?
Fifth, the restaurant claimed to be booked at 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 pm only having availability at 4 pm latest. While we were eating we noticed several empty tables. I do not want to be unfair to the restaurant and say they did wrong, however we feel a little bothered as if the restaurant didn't want to serve us at a certain time for their own convenience. A quite large group arrived around 6:30 pm but the restaurant was not completely full.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience. If you want good food, do not hesitate to come here. It is a little pricey compared to some other places I have been to with similar food. ₩17,000 for one curry is a bit much. However, the food...
Read moreBombay grill is a halal restaurant in Itaewon-ro and it’s really good restaurant. I went there to attend eid Festival so I witnessed a buffet system food service which was really good. The event was held downstairs in a big hall. I think if you want to arrange a party or event you can reserve this place. The manager of this restaurant is very nice person. He communicate with us very well. Now coming to the food, the dishes were nice specially the chicken tikka and the chicken tikka masala. The samosas, paneer masala all were good. We paid 16000 korean won for all the dishes. There were total 15 dishes in the buffet alongwith the desserts and fruits and salads everything. May be we were invited to the event so we gave 16000 but I don’t know the actual price of each dish. So i guess it may be around 30000 to 40000 per person for 2-3 dishes. Check out the pictures and...
Read moreOn the first day we were in Seoul, we were looking for a halal restaurant to have our dinner. The whole day we were out and hungry. We came across Bombay Grill and decided to try. It was the best decision ever.
The food was prepared fresh and it tasted so good. We ordered 2 sets for a group of 4 adults and 1 child. The owner of the place was so welcoming and answered our queries patiently and even allowed us to change items within the set.
The butter chicken was heavenly. The naan was superb and can just be eaten alone and still makes you full. The chai at the end was perfect.
We ended up visiting this place twice as the food here was better than the rest of the halal indian...
