A hidden treasure atop the hill on the way to the Itaewon mosque- - - this Indian 맛집 has been here since 2010. The cuisine, the atmosphere, the service--- excellent. The management exude warmth and pride in their legacy, are attentive and kind. There is a various selection of vegan options (upon request) including a full page of vegetable curries, a full page of dahl curries, appetizers, soups, juices and teas, roti and potato-stuffed nan. The mood is elevated, artistic, peaceful and serene, open and well-lit. One whole wall is windows. Everyone looks happy. We had the aloo palak-- a spicy garlic spinach potato curry and vegetable-do pyaza-- a cashew-cream tomato based mixed veg curry with samosas, bread and rice. I'm looking forward to coming back to try more and am happy to find my go-to Indian restaurant in Seoul, and the prices are very nice to boot. The curry came but they just added water in it and heat it and it was terrible. Also we got less bread to the amount we ordered and upon inquiring the owner about this he just give a plain denial and said you have got what you ordered.
I probably don't go back again but with group that place is the only choice because of the nice siting experience.
There are few other better places in nearby vicinity, but not OK for bringing a date or your work group as the sitting experience...
Read moreWe ate here on a Sunday evening. It has a limited menu but enough choices to satisfy. Atmosphere great, Service exceeded expectations. Food satisfied us in both quantity & quality. For appetiser we shared 3 Samosas. Nice flavour and we had a choice of spicy or mild sauces. So both my wife and I were satisfied. Main course was Butter Chicken & Lentel Masala. A selection of side dish additives & steamed rice. Superb naan bread. Mango lassi each. Compared to local korean restaurants, the food was a bit pricy but not enough to stop us eating there after seeing the menu. Definitely not 5 stars but we gave it a solid 4 taking everything into account. We...
