Everest Restaurant — Restaurant in Seoul

I really love eating here! The atmosphere is wonderful with Nepalese lanterns and decorations. The food is amazing! I am addicted to the dal makhani, garlic naan, samosas, banana lassi, and Nepali tea. I ordered all these items today, and the total was only 20,000 krw. Most main dishes are only ~8,000 krw. There are other great things on the menu, too. My husband enjoys all the tandoori specialities. Everest is one of my favorite places in Seoul and has authentic, fresh, and tasty food from the region. The service is also good. Some dishes are spicy, and they are always watching your water levels to keep you cooled and refreshed. I only wish they did Shuttle Delivery! I'm a Nepali and have been traveling so was craving Nepali food. Everest was recommended by another American I met in Korea so I was very excited to try the place. Unfortunately (sadly) this place lacks the flavor a my Nepali palette was looking for. The momos were okay but he sauce / achaar was terrible. I got the chicken set which came with rice (filled up half the plate!) small bowl of hi ken curry, a medium bowl of daal, and aloo dum. The chicken curry came out lukewarm with one piece of chicken with good meat and 4 pieces of bones/skin and the taste is almost there but still lacking. the meal was forgettable. I found this restaurant based on the proximity and reviews. I have to admit I'd probably not go inside if it wasn't for the good reviews. It doesn't look very appealing from the outside and I was skeptical about the basic inside decor.

The gentleman who welcomed us was very hospitable and after looking at the menu we decided to sit down and order. The prices are less than what you would expect for Seoul and the menu options were good.
