Pho Hang — Restaurant in Seoul

Can't believe I didn't come here sooner. I tried about 5 different 'Vietnamese' restaurants since I've been here 2 1/2 months ago and all were not very authentic, all were run by Koreans and a bit expensive because mostly chain restaurants. This place is the closest you'll get in Seoul, place is run by local Vietnamese people who know how to make real Vietnamese food. You have to order through your phone via nfc so it’s a little weird to be honest. They still accept cash.

The pho and pork on rice was really flavourful and is 9000 won each so it’s really cheap. One negative thing is they use the chin su chilli sauce instead of hoisin and sriracha sauce which are my go to’s. The other thing is the beef in the pho is really chewy but for the price I think it can’t be helped.

Pho Hang, located in an alley near Exit 3 of Dongdaemun Station, makes you feel like you are in Vietnam as soon as you walk into the restaurant: the interior of the restaurant, the owner and staff who work here, and even the majority of Vietnamese customers.
