Gombal Coffee — Restaurant in Seoul

I tried the Geisha drip coffee and Einspänner at this café. The Geisha coffee costs 7,500 won, and the Einspänner is priced at 6,300 won. Although it may seem a bit pricey, I didn't feel like it was a waste of money at all.

If the coffee beans are not of good quality or the roasting is done improperly, the acidity of the coffee can be too sharp. However, this café skillfully preserved the freshness of the Geisha coffee beans, and the acidity was pleasantly vibrant.

In many cafes, Einspänner tends to lose its flavor quickly as the cold whipped cream on top melts into the hot coffee below. But in this café, the Einspänner maintained a clear separation between the whipped cream and coffee until the last sip.

The decision to serve the hot Einspänner in a transparent glass with a wine glass shape was a stroke of genius. The contrasting harmony between the white whipped cream and the rich-colored coffee, divided vertically, created a visually satisfying experience throughout the coffee-drinking session.
