I have mixed feelings about this shop. We went there 3 times, the first time the bread was literally fresh out of the oven and therefore absolutely delicious. The second time they were mediocre fresh and tasty, not as good/fresh as the first. Then the third time we went to the shop at 20.45, they told us we had to wait till 21.25, since we thought we will get fresh baked ones we didn’t mind waiting. It was 21.25 no bread, 21.35 no bread, finally at 21.45 after one hour of waiting we got our four pieces of bread. Only to be heavily disappointed by them, they were not fresh at all, no crust or crunch at all. They must have been 6+ h old. The fist time we got them fresh out of the oven we kept one and ate it back ah the hotel which made that bread at least 6h old and it still was WAYYYY fresher then the ones we got the third time. So basically it’s up to luck wether you get good or bad ones. If you speak korean (because they do not speak any english at all) I would recommend asking before you buy wether they are fresh or not because it makes a huge difference. I would definitely not buy the old ones again, they were lacking the fluff and just tasted like a greasy, soggy old croissant...

so fragrant, with an addictive crispy exterior but somewhat chewy mochi like interior, a bite of this will leave you wondering how bread can taste this good🫨✨as you chew through you’ll get a refreshing hint of salt every now and then which nicely compliments the butter flavour🥰

Read moreFirst thought when someone told me to try salt bread in Seoul was how good can a bread taste. But I saw it and went to try it at Ikseondong since there wasn't much of a queue. And I couldn't have been more mistaken. The salted bread tasted amazing. It was soft, fluffy, yet when you bit into it, there was a tinge of saltiness that brought out the best of the bread. You can buy it in packs of 4, and the queue moves pretty quickly (unless there's a holdup by someone at the cashier who wants to add or change their order). You place your order and pay at a kiosk first, and then queue to pick up your order after. Highly recommend you to try this when in Seoul. Also, highly recommend to try it immediately whilst the bread is warming and freshly baked. Brought some home for the evening, and definitely didn't taste as good later on when it's colder...
