Had lunch at Ikseon Yorok in the heart of Ikseon-dong Hanok Village — a beautifully designed restaurant that blends traditional Korean architecture with a modern, stylish interior. The setting is warm and intimate, perfect for a relaxing meal.

I ordered the beef tripe rice, which was delicious — rich and flavorful. The menu focuses on elevated Korean comfort food, beautifully presented with seasonal touches. Service was efficient, though there were only two servers and the place was busy.

If you’re exploring Ikseon-dong and want to enjoy a thoughtfully prepared Korean meal in a unique hanok setting, Ikseon Yorok is definitely...

We came here right at rush hour and the place was pretty full. Maybe that's why our experience was not the best. They forgot two side dishes entirely but at least also didn't have them on the bill. Potato pancake was nice and crispy but the bulgogi was flavourless. The rice underneath was heavily overcooked in the center it turned into a solid block of mush without individual grains. The meat itself tasted very bland. The vegetables where the only thing with solid flavor. Banchan were very small but good. For the price I ate a lot better in Korea.

Overall would not recommend this place, at least not during...

Nice vibes and affordable prices. Food taste is decent but needs work on some parts.

I had the chicken rice, the potato pancake, and the stuffed chili pepper. The seasoning for the chicken rice was good, but the chicken itself was far too chewy and not tender. Thus it was a chore to chew the chicken even though the flavour was on point. The potato pancake had an interesting texture and flavour, but was too oily, which made it difficult to eat beyond two or three bites. The stuffed chili pepper was very good. Nicely crisp on the outside and juicy...

Great local Korean restaurant with bowls generous in protein. The Bulgogi bowl is very tasty, and the rice is delicious. They offer homemade flavors well balanced between vegetables, carbohydrates, and protein. I ordered a large size and it was perfect for my hearty appetite.
