Unfortunately, our experience at On 6.5 was disappointing, especially given the restaurant’s price point and reputation. The food itself was mediocre — not terrible, but certainly not memorable. What really stood out, however, was the poor service, which was nowhere near the caliber you’d expect from a restaurant charging this much. We sat for nine minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and later, I even found a hair on my dinner plate. Service throughout the evening was inattentive and unprofessional. We were surprised to learn there was a minimum one-bottle-per-table requirement, and while that misunderstanding was on us, the manager who informed us made no effort to help or offer recommendations. To make matters worse, the only four nonalcoholic bottle options started at 78,000₩, which seems unreasonable. Dirty plates and finished dishes were left on our table for the entire meal — nothing was cleared even after we’d finished eating. Despite having a 9:00 pm reservation, we were told at 9:30 pm that the kitchen was taking last call, which felt rushed and inconsiderate. We sat for another 30 minutes with dirty plates before finally getting up to pay ourselves. No one ever checked on our meal, and we were never offered a dessert menu. Overall, while the food was acceptable, the service was terrible — inattentive, unhelpful, and far below expectations for a restaurant of this standard. We won’t be returning and would not recommend On...

Dining at On6.5 is a truly fantastic experience that leaves a lasting impression. The food is exceptionally delicious, offering a unique and innovative perspective on Korean cuisine that delights the palate. The ingredients are remarkably fresh, with finely balanced seasoning that enhances every dish’s flavors. The presentation is nothing short of extraordinary, with each plate meticulously crafted to achieve a beautiful and harmonious balance, elevating the dining experience to an art form.

The restaurant’s atmosphere is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, creating a cozy and welcoming environment. The tables are generously spacious, comfortably accommodating groups of friends or family while maintaining ample distance between them for privacy. The staff provides outstanding service, with attentive and friendly interactions that make guests feel truly valued and well-cared for throughout their meal.

The pricing is surprisingly reasonable for such high-quality cuisine and exceptional service. I highly recommend visiting On6.5 if you’re in the area, as it offers an unforgettable culinary experience. Booking in advance is strongly advised, as the restaurant is intimate in size and consistently in high demand due to its...

We came in Nov 2024 and was highly impressed by this wine bar. We found it to be quite affordable compared to similar fine dining/wine bars.

The wine we choose was fruity and easy to drink. Best part was how Korean and western fusion elements came together. The fried kimchi and dongchimi really let the Korean flavours shine in a refined way. And the uni pasta was perfectly cooked and harnessed so much umami I wanted to lick the plate clean. Only the pork belly was a bit dry because of its cut so a bit more attention to ingredient selection can be made in the future.

The service was polite and detailed in both Korean and English. Only improvement I can think of is more actively engaging with customers in selecting their wine and pairings given it’s a wine bar and the drink order is compulsory (although I liked not having the pressure to choose anything I couldn’t afford). 5 stars despite some small improvement points as the decor of the place really made the experience very special. It’s a place that draws you back time and time again, so I would come back next time I’m in Seoul to try some new dishes on the menu.

This place is definitely on its way to becoming a one...

On 6.5 is the world’s first kimchi and wine bar restaurant. 6.5 degrees Celsius refers to best temperature for kimchi fermentation. Each dish on the menu features a creative different use of kimchi and we really enjoyed our experience. The standout dish for me was definitely the kimchi wrapped in seaweed and then fried. I’ve never had anything quite like it before! The seaweed added a nice crunch to the dish, and the kimchi itself was flavorful and tangy. But what really took it over the top was the tableside finishing touch of Dongchimi sour cream. The sour cream added a creamy, tangy element that complemented the kimchi perfectly. — 🏷️ #kimchirestaurant #seoultrip #friedkimchi #on6.5 #tbc_seoul #seoulwinebar
