[Aug 2025]: I’ve now been to this eatery 3x over 18 months and I’ve loved it every time. The menu has changed a bit since my first visit, but every noodle dish 🍜 has been delicious and well-spiced! 🌶️ Finally got the 🥟 gyozas too.
[Jan 2024]: I’m visiting Seoul for the first time and living in the Gangnam-gu area so Plantude was nearby. Please note that it’s in a gigantic mall (COEX) that was difficult for me to navigate (as an English speaker), but I asked for help from the mall information desk attendants to find the restaurant (it’s next to Godiva).
I ordered the truffle sea trumpet cream tteokbokki and I was hoping for the gyoza dumplings, but they were out of stock when I dined for lunch in the late afternoon. I didn’t love the tteokbokki because of the lack of spice, but loved the ramen on my second visit.
Service was fast (you order on a tablet) and courteous. There’s no to-go containers, just FYI.
If you’re largely a vegetarian/vegan and have dietary restrictions, this is a great place that offers traditional Korean dishes with a plant-based twist. Note that the COEX Mall has plenty of dining options, from Indian to Middle Eastern to Italian to chicken and burger joints so you can definitely walk around and explore to find a place that will please everyone...
Read moreThere is finally a fully vegan restaurant inside COEX mall, and it is run by the large Korean corporation Pulmuone.
They offer a diverse menu featuring fusion dishes with Korean influence, e.g. pasta, rice bowls, veganized Bulgogi, tofu cutlet and Tteokbokki. Dessert options are currently only a tiramisu and the company's yogurts based on oat milk.
Prices are average for the area and portions are balanced and filling. I haven't had more than one dish yet, but I really liked the crispy tofu cutlet, and am planning to go back and try more dishes.
Btw, the restaurant is prepared for international customers, since they have a full English menu with descriptions and hand it to anyone who doesn't look like a local. Otherwise, you can place your order via an ipad in the most modern way.
The restaurant has many seats available, yet it can occur that you have to wait in line for a table! It gets very crowded on weekends and for dinnertime on weekdays. Service seems to be still in training or a bit overwhelmed by customers. Overall, the food was ok but the atmosphere and the service was not...
Read moreMaybe 3,5 Stars? Fully vegan with Bowls, Pasta and some changing seasonal dishes. When I was here they just advertised their new menu. I wasn’t sure what to order because the healthy up eggplant Bowl with additionally bulgogi sounded great. I ended up ordering the Rice Bowl 🍚 with Tofu Cutlet with vegetables. I wanted to have something crunchy and the tofu Schnitzel was very crunchy and delicious indeed. Only negative part are the veggies. All of them cold and the mushrooms could have been cooked longer. Didn’t enjoy the taste of pepper as well. Their seasonal bowl and also their Mushrooms as side dishes sound good to try! I might go back - I don’t know. I had to wait in line during lunch time since it was crowded and had to order while waiting in line. English menu available. It seems like everything is pre made and...
