I came here because I read and saw photos of the charcoal bun with red bean and thick slabs of butter. I was thinking 'oh my it must be so delicious and sinful!' I love this area because of the maze and the secret finds, and found Seoul Coffee to be located inside here. Was there on a late afternoon on a weekday but it was still relatively crowded and was lucky could find myself a table. The moment I walked past the counter I could see the charcoal buns looking at me. I already had a late lunch so I wasn't expecting myself to order much, though there were other pastries which looked quite interesting as well. However one thing that surprised and delighted me was when I saw them serving Sobok soft serve! I was planning to look for Sobok but it seemed like they have closed all the branches around, I was quite disappointed initially but I finally saw it here! So I just ordered the soft serve and the bread and enjoyed them at a quiet corner of the café. I was a little disappointed with the bread, it looks big and nice in people's blog but the size is literally smaller than size of a palm. Maybe I was expecting them to heat the bun a little before putting the butter, but the bread was kinda hard and cold. The red bean portion was also kind of miserable. On the other hand the Sobok soft serve saved the day. I really enjoyed the injeolmi soft serve and there were some additional interesting items added to the soft serve, like the injeolmi rice ball, some dried persimmon, and nuts. Not sure about the other pastries and beverages but it is not a bad...

If you're looking for an exotic cafe as a tourist visiting Seoul, go to Seoul Coffee (make sure that it's a brand name!) Situated in Ikseon Traditional Village, you'll find the place very intriguing. The cafe is preserving the traditional architectural beauty very well.
minus factor1) crowded TOO MUCH, 2) hard to find the place(following the map isn't that...
Read moreWe stopped by Seoul Cafe to enjoy some coffee. When we arrived the place was already crowded and there were almost no seats available, probably because it was the weekend. We had to wait to be seated and enjoy our orders. So, if you plan to visit this place, it's better to come on a weekday. Their Viena coffee is really delicious, as well as their matcha dish. Personally, I didn't enjoy the Ung Butter much because it was just cold bread with butter, so it's better to order a...
