Vineworks amazing experience in an amazing part of the city near Hongdae. I wouldn't have found this place were it not for a group of friends who thought it would be a great idea to do a dinner themed murder mystery party here, which was an absolute blast. The venue specializes in wine pairings and tastings served alongside food that complements the drinks in every way imaginable. Ian the host is amazing, personable, and very knowledgeable on wines and food. Reservations need to be made in advance and it costs roughly 50,000 KRW per person but is well worth the price. It can be a little difficult to find as it's tucked away in an alley on the top floors of a rather nondescript building but after exploring the charming neighborhood surrounding for a tad, you'll find it in no time. I enjoyed this more than I anticipated; and I already figured I would like it a lot. The space is cozy and intimate, and you quickly bond with all who are in attendance. It is wonderfully organized and Ian, the man who hosts the events, is very personable. The food is delectable, the wine is superb, and the company complements the whole experience. I feel more well-versed in wine culture now and I made great acquaintances with people from different parts of the world. It was nice to be able to bond over a shared love of food and wine. Grateful that Ian provides this space in Seoul to do so, because I never thought I could experience this on this side of the world. Terrible place. I went there during one of their "organized events" and was epically disappointed. The food was terrible, there was no organization whatsoever in terms of tables or seating, there was no designated waste disposal, the vendors as well as the owner had no information towards any of the problems presented at the place, it was crowded for how small the area is to the point where you being bumped and shoved.
