Yookji Hongdae — Restaurant in Seoul

The absolute best cuts of meat I have ever had in my 30 years of life.

10/10 would come every time I’m in Seoul. 10/10 would recommend everyone come when they’re in the vicinity. 10/10 would recommend to visit even if no where near.

The first piece of meat gave me an existential crisis. Due to the sad events of 29 Dec, there won’t be fireworks to usher in the New Year but the fireworks appeared in my mouth as I took my first bite.

Edit to provide more information: 4 pax no reservation on NYE arrived at about 8:20pm, seated before 8:50pm, food on table by 8:56pm. Was given a heads up at entry that last order was @ 9:20pm and they close @ 10pm. ordered 2 servings of pork belly (ultimate flavour burst), 1 serving of pork shoulder, 1 serving of blade meat and 2 servings of marinated spareribs. With seafood soybean soup and fluffy egg on the side.

GOOD bbq place that lies on a beautiful street, very good service, young crews and super friendly personality, the girl in green cap asked where we were from, felt really nice to meet tourist friendly place, and also waitress who enjoys her job is very rare these days, love the meat, good price for good meat and nice people, side dishes was a bomb, the citric kimchi is unforgettable, i cleaned up all their side dishes, this place is easy to find, walkable from exit 3 of hapjeong and after ur meal u could walk a little to hongdae market, be there early to avoid queue as u need a korean number to reserve a seat, we were there around 5plus, when we were done with food there was already a q, but i believe the crew will just help u out even if u do not have korean number, thats how much i appreciate their staffs, good...

Saturday 6pm. 5 teams waiting. This is a meat restaurant I would recommend when you go to Hongdae. The 'Dondae Galbi' is famous, but if you don't go at lunch, it's sold out.
