This much recommended Indian restaurant was a major disappointment We have eaten at numerous Indian (Pakistan) restaurants in Leeds and Bradford and know what to expect OK , the management need to have a look at themselves Starter - Sheesh Kebab Normally you would expect minced lamb with , cumin , gara masala, Garlic, ginger, coriander and chilli’s chargrilled to perfection
The Sheesh kebab here were described as mince chicken and mince - lamb - total non description . The ‘meat’ was blended and formed and looked very much like a German hotdog in colour and smoothness. It taste was 3/10 Main course, my wife had a butter chicken . Well what can I say , the ‘chicken’ if you can call it that was really small wafer thin slices in a sauce that was straight out of a jar . My lamb Kharai was just about right . Chunky pieces of land that was in a forgettable sauce again probably out of a bottle Worse was still to come - keema Rice!! Well the rice was just about cooked with mince meat, but it appeared to be nuts !!! Management, you can rescue this. Holiday restaurants don’t depend on return client's, which is obvious and If you were in a UK city you would die a quick death. Please employ genuine Asian food chef and stop serving...
Read moreWe visited Costa Adeje in the winter to get some much needed sun in. While the sun was easily found, finding great food turned out to be a bit more tricky. While our visit is not yet over, I can honestly say our dinner at Delhi Darbar was the best food I have had on this trip so far and some of the best indian food I have had in general. The staff was kind and friendly (for instance, asking whether we ready for our main course after finishing our starter or checking in whether our main was to our liking) and the food itself was everything it should be. I had the Butter chicken, the chicken was tender, soft and perfectly cooked. The sauce was spicy, warming, heartful and just a little sweet. I had the garlic rice with it which paired perfectly with it. The rice was cooked to perfection, each rice grain an individual, flavored perfectly with the garlic and with tiny bits of fried onion in and fresh herbs throughout. What can I say... I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend this place to everyone. It is a tad more expensive then most places in Costa Adeje but it is easily worth it. I went home vowing I was going to learn to cook some butter chicken myself. I think that...
Read moreI am absolutely delighted to find this place. It's very easy to find and has easy access. Toilets were immaculate. The food was delicious and so reasonably priced. We had poppadoms as a starter which were delicious along wit dips and then was very happily surprised after that a member of staff asked if we were ready for our main our if we would like to wait. During the meal the staff were so good and tentative regularly asking if you needed a drink and if the food was good. After we had finished an the plates were cleared the staff didn't bother us an we sat for another 30min enjoying our drinks and letting the food settle. After asking for the bill we when up and paid all while being thanked . After such delicious food and service I was expecting a large bill but after a starter, 2 large beers, 2 large soft drinks , 2 mains, rice and nan bread it cost only €50. We will definitely visit this little gem again before we head home. I am not a big curry person but this place may have converted me and I cannot say how great the service an staff were. Well done...
