This place is a total gem! I'm not to sort of person who usually writes reviews, however this was so perfect for our family that I need to give kudos where it's due. We were looking to avoid the classic "Brits abroad" cliche holiday and we found exactly what we were looking for, there was a great mix of nationalities at this hotel, with Spanish/Dutch/English/Scottish/German etc. ||We booked the sea view apartment with all the extra stuff (mini bar/bathrobes etc - would definitely recommend!), Not only was it a sea view, but also a pool view and it was utterly glorious! The room was super clean and modern with everything you could need and more, the air con can be set to make it like the north pole so was chuffed with that. The Room had double/2 single beds together (quite good if you have sunburn!) and the sofa bed pulled out to be a double - also very comfy.||The pool is fantastic, on the first day they put up an inflatable slide for an hour or so so the kid was thrilled. They do various lightweight entertainment throughout the week but nothing imposing or too much. The pool has various depth levels and has a life guard watching over. Plenty of sunbeds to go around and none of the getting down early nonsense to have pitch, we often got to the pool at 11am and there was still plenty free. You can also hire one of three square sun beds right on the pool edge for 15 euros a day (other packages with drinks too) for a more luxury experience. Pool bar has all you'd expect + ice creams etc and at reasonable prices too. But you can also go out and bring a pizza or beers from the shop of you want.||There's no night time entertainment, which for us was great as it means that you can get a decent nights sleep without drunken nonsense going on into the small hours. For entertainment there's tonnes of options with a stroll down the street or on the sea front - 2min walk.||We went half board, the breakfast was buffet style with everything you could imagine - your kids will want to eat pancakes and churros every morning! Also full english breakfast, 3 kinds of eggs, endless fancy coffee - you get the idea, spot on. The evening meal was just as fantastic, endless options catering for all - I've never seen my kid eat so much, which is astounding for a picky eater! Evening drinks are paid for as extra, but the prices really good - especially compared to England, it's been a long time since I've got 2 beers and a soft drink for £7! ||The hotel staff are great, it was my childs birthday and they left a present in the room for them which was super sweet and thoughtful. They helped me book a trip to Siam Park (also recommend this, Disney level water park!) and also were really encouraging with my attempts to speak Spanish!||If I could give this 6 stars I would,...
Read moreThe location of these apartments are spot on, right in the heart of everything but not noisy. Tucked up a slope from the beachfront.|The pool is the selling point here, big with lots of sunbeds around and a huge terrace. Although management have a no reserve policy, it was still going on but not as stupid o clock, no stampede, plenty for all. We had a studio pool view apartment which was dated but had everything we needed, but it lacked shelving in the bathroom to store the usual items, the living area had a useless side board?????? A dressing table and mirror is what is needed. There was nowhere to sit down to do your hair and make up apart from standing up in the bathroom, which was always occupied. shower cubicle needs the glass frosting for privacy so if someone were desperate to use the toilet whilst someone was showering. Shower tray very slippery, nowhere in the shower to store your shampoo etc etc. Air con excellent and cooled the whole apartment adequately. Lots of various steps and slopes in the hotel so not suitable if you have mobility problems. The real let down here was the lack of any air-conditioning in the dining room, it was absolutely unbearable so we chose to avoid it. None installed atall, no fans, cool units, nothing! just 2 doors open. Breakfast time it's cooler and just about bearable but still not a comfortable experience. Excellent variety at breakfast, everything available you could possibly think of. Reception also didn't have any air con. Very odd. Pool bar expensive for drinks and the spirits are measured. 4.5 euro for a large beer in a good quality cardboard cup which wasn't a pint, versus 1.5 euro for a pint just outside in the resort. We ate and drank out as its cheap as chips in the resort. |We witnessed an horific drowning whilst here unfortunately. A chap was found floating on the surface of the pool. The sos pool attendant and a guest got the chap out and the guest performed cpr whilst the sos pool attendant frantically ran around asking guests if they could help with cpr. He was useless. Surely he should be fully trained for these situations!!!!. We were all gobsmacked. All of the staff really didn't know what to do. It appeared the chap had a heart attack and later passed away, the police and paramedics arrived quickly. The police but not the paramedics were working on him pool side for quite some time. Staff did attempt to privatise the area. So sad.|We would return on a self catering/room only basis.|This place has lots of potential but needs modernising and air con installed. First place I've ever been that's not fully air...
Read moreThe room was okay, it could have been fixed more. The door to the balcony was so hard to use because it was probably not oiled enough. I managed to get locked out of the room because of that door and you can’t open it from the outside. When we told the reception, they told us that they were going to look at it and fix it. But it seemed worse after that. I think that they could have cleaned the ceiling fan better, because it was a lot of dust on it so I didn’t want to use it.
I will say that the breakfast was delicious and they have good options if you have allergy like celiac disease, then they warm up bread for you every morning without problem. The chef and the staff in the kitchen where also great! The guys at the pool bar were so nice and they really lifted up the whole experience!
There was an incident where some older men took photos of me while I was sunbathing, and I felt that when I went to the reception to tell them about it they did very little and it was as if it wasn’t that bad. But that is an extremely disgusting thing to experience, so I had to get my dad involved so that they would take it seriously. They did nothing at first, but they told me that if I see them I should tell them straight away so they could talk to them. And during breakfast I saw them, so I went straight up to the reception. I was then told that there was nothing they can do about that then because it was early, and they started talking to a new client. I felt so little and unimportant that I couldn’t even finish my breakfast. Luckily I have a father that takes this seriously and talked to the daily manager. They managed to set up a meeting with the men. But it really did nothing. I feel like they did not help me the way that they should have, and just threw the ball to me and my dad. I did not get any kind of apology personally from either the men or the staff either. So if you are a girl or a girl group traveling I would not recommend...
