Princess inspire review |First impressions 🤔💭|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Wow factor! Impressive building with pantheon style pillars and an immaculate and luxurious lobby.||Location 🌎🗺️📍|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Hotel is a mere 5min walk away from the promenade which is easy access for walking along to las americas with an array of bars and restaurants along the way to choose from. |There is also a tourist train stop a short walk further up next to hovima suites but it is uphill for those who have mobility concerns. There are plenty options for transport if walking isn’t your thing including taxi service and scooter rentals.||Accommodation 🛌🏩|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|I cannot fault the rooms! They were clean sleek modern and the bed was extremely comfortable. I have a memory foam mattress at home so beds are a big thing for me on holiday but these are the comfiest beds I’ve stayed in abroad! Coupled with the memory pillow we ordered from the pillow menu for Essencia guests I slept very well! |The hotel also appears to be well designed with the majority of rooms facing inwards towards the pool unlike the sister hotel the Guayarmina. |The hotel itself is over split levels with a very impressive main staircase to the main pool. I would recommend those with mobility concerns contact the hotel prior to their stay to ensure they are allocated a room appropriate to their needs! ||Cleanliness 🫧🧼🧽|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Definitely the most impressive aspect of the hotel. The maintenance staff were very visible at various points throughout the day completing odd jobs including painting and machine scrubbing tiles and disinfecting pool areas and sun beds! Bravo to everyone who is part of this incredible team your efforts were not unnoticed by guests! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻||Food & drink🥗🍲🍻🥂🍾🍹|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|The food was definitely great to eat. The only criticism I have is “The One” restaurant is a mix of buffet service for starters and desserts with orders for main meals. It may have been better with a set menu for the full restaurant experience which is what we thought we were getting. |The drinks were also pretty good although a slightly larger selection of cocktails in the all inclusive would have been better as the ones on offer were not to my tastes as they were all quite sweet. (My fave cocktails are margaritas and espresso martinis).|Essencia guests were invited to a cocktail hour in the wine bar between 5-6 each afternoon which unfortunately was disappointing. The canapés were basically crackers and cheese and the drinks available were almost the exact same as the all inclusive with a fruit cocktail /mimosa style mix available in alcohol and no alcohol versions. |The hotel missed a trick here as the cocktail bar is a wonderful setting as is the Lyon bar and if there were opportunities to try some of the other wines/special cocktails available even if there was a max of 2 drinks per person per day this may encourage guests to purchase these drinks on other occasions. Lovely idea but definitely room for improvement in my humble opinion. ||Facilities 🌊🏋️🧖♀️|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Love the fact there is three separate pool areas and the Essencia solarium meaning guests can find their vibe for their holiday! The gym is pretty standard and the spa is a lovely calming space. The on-site shop has any essentials in a hurry plus gifts and clothing. Worth a look during your stay. |There are 2 eateries with a variety of options to suit guests however the restaurant is chargeable unless you are an Essencia guest. |There are 4 bars and one to suit every mood. There is comfortable seating on the Lyon bar terrace however be quick at opening time to grab a prime spot for the entertainment! ||Customer service & staff 😊😊😊|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|I cannot fault any of this! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive to all our needs! Such a hard working crew and all lovely to speak to during our stay. |I had the added bonus of meeting Marta and Simon from guest relations who kindly gave me a tour of the hotel and a bit more about its history, anything you need this dynamic duo will do whatever they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible ! ||Entertainment🎶🎤🎸💃🏼🪩|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Entertainment is always divisive as not everyone likes the same things however this hotel did offer a variety of acts throughout the week. Some more energetic than others. The massive bonus is the LED projection wall on the main building so no matter where you are you can view the entertainment! Great feature for this hotel. ||Local amenities |⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|Plenty options nearby for food/drink/essentials. The promenade has some lovely bars and restaurants which overall is quieter than Las Americas. If chilled is your vibe then there is plenty to choose from here with varied themes including British 🇬🇧 and Irish 🇮🇪 bars. ||Overall Opinion|8️⃣out of of 🔟 🙌🏻 |There are some small niggles which could in my opinion easily change the experience of guests including changes to the restaurant and the cocktail hour. The abundance of stairs may be off putting for a lot of people but there are plenty lifts to get around the hotel easily. |Costa Adeje is hilly compared to other regions in Tenerife but offers a quieter ambience than other areas and with this hotel practically on the promenade there is not much more you could want in location. |I will definitely be back in the near future and I cannot thank the staff enough for looking after us all on our recent trip, you truly are a credit to the princess group for the work...
Read moreBed Bugs June 29th my girlfriend and I arrived at the princess inspire hotel to stay for 15 days. We were very excited to relax and enjoy all the luxury included in our booking. However, on the second day my girlfriend started breaking out in severe bug bites which made her quite sick. On day six I had also got multiple bites and similar illness. After a close inspection of our room we found a whole lot of bed bugs on the mattress of our bed. We immediately called reception who moved us to another room and told us they would wash our clothes and our luggage. We requested information on how our clothes and other luggage had been cleaned and disinfected since we were afraid of bringing these bugs home with us. We were worried because when we received our luggage back it was obvious that the suitcases had not been cleaned at all. At this point we started negotiations for a compensation because of this horrible incident and then the hotel management's tone changed. The sympathy for the tired, disappointed hotel guests quickly faded. They offered 10% refund and a luxury dinner on the condition that we would sign an agreement of confidentiality. We were not interested in a dinner at the hotel, we had already paid for all inclusive meals but because of the bed bugs and how their bites affected our health we had started avoiding to eat at the hotel. We asked for 6 days‘ refund, 5 for the days we shared a room with the bugs and 1 to cover the cost of disinfecting our luggage. The only responses we received were cc of email exchanges in Spanish between the hotel management and the hotel staff. They offered us a maximum of 15% refund (EUR 858) and a 20% discount on our next stay at the hotel. To be honest that was of no value to us since we have no intention of returning to this hotel. One of these emails states that we claimed EUR 3.920 but we suggested EUR 381 per each of these 6 days adding up to EUR 2.286. I briefly mentioned this situation in an Icelandic Facebook group which quickly made it to an Icelandic newspaper. Next day I received response from the hotel where they suggest to fully compensate a scarf which got damaged at the hotel‘s laundry service. They also implied that they offered us full possible compensation when in reality they only offered 10% refund plus free dinner in exchange for oath of confidentiality. However, we also received copies of the hotel‘s internal emails in Spanish where they strategized about their handling of the issue. Although the hotel executives quickly moved us to another room, they never even considered more than 10% refund despite all the damage of our luggage, distress and pain we suffered. At some point they referred to their insurance company but emphasized that such matters can take a long time. They repeatedly told us that they did not know the origin of the bed bugs since they are uncommon in Tenerife. We know for sure that the bed bugs did not arrive there with us since they do not thrive in Iceland. This is certainly a serious and unfortunate incident, but one that is entirely the hotel’s responsibility. Moreover, I want to point out that this is not an isolated case, because there was a complaint about bed bugs from a hotel guest last November. We had to ensure that the bed bugs or their eggs did not go home with us - at our own expense and inconvenience. The wonderful holiday we had envisaged was ruined. To prove our case we have photos and images of multiple bed bugs in the room as well as photos of the consequences of their bites. The hotel claims that most likely previous guests brought the bed bugs. Our question is: Should we accept that our vacation was ruined due to insufficient disinfecting and lack of preventive procedure at the hotel despite it being common knowledge that this pest surely exists in Tenerife? The hotel‘s number one priority should be to ensure that sleeping conditions, hygiene and the overall experience is good, especially at a hotel like this that offers luxurious stay for a considerable expense. You should be ashamed of your...
Read moreArrival and Room Wow, arrived at the hotel and just the entrance made me smile, clean as a whistle and it drew me in, what a great start. We had the most warmest of welcomes from James on Reception, probably the most informative ever and we went straight to our room. We were here for 10 nights half-board and paid for a pool view for our honeymoon, so we were delighted with the room and the view (we are both early 50's and went as a couple). The room was kept spotless and towels changed frequently, thank you. Don't really need to mention the facilities in the room, its what's documented when booking, the Mrs said there's a good hairdryer too, no need to take your own.
Food & Drink Breakfast was really good, a buffet breakfast with plenty to choose from and my picky-eater enjoyed it too (and she loved the sparkly wine). You can swap lunch for your evening meal if you give 24 hours notice (a select number of times - you should ask), we did on one occasion and found it just as satisfying as breakfast. Evening meal was also enjoyable, lots to choose from; various meats cooked while you wait or freshly cooked, fish, paella, Mediterranean selection, and copious amount of cakes, jelly and fruit :) I know hotel buffet lunches can be more or less the same but the quality of the food complimented by the staff who really worked hard to make your experience memorable makes this place feel really special. BTW check out The One restaurant if you are half-board or all inclusive (you can eat there a number of times, please check, but make sure you give notice), we paid extra for the meals there although you don't have to but the meals were really good :p
Staff All staff who we met, who helped us with drinks, food, enquiries, or just general chit-chat were great. Thank you to you all for making our honeymoon special.
Entertainment The animation team got everyone in the pool for some aerobics each day (make sure you get your noodle) and then afterwards there's a game of water polo, they put good music on too. The evening entertainment was really good, we can't pick a night where the entertainment wasn't too good, always something different, mainly singing or music, but check out how they've converted the hotel's windows into a big tele ;) WOW ! Entertainment finished at 11pm, that's when the Lion bar nightclub started.
Location Really good location as you are only 5-10mins walk from the beach, bars and restaurants, there a mini shopping centre over the road that leads to more bars and restaurants. Read up on some of the review on the restaurants so you're not disappointed when eating out. We experienced 70%+ humidity whilst we were there with temperatures over 26c.
To sum it all up, this place is mint, warm, welcoming and a great atmosphere, we're starting to love Costa Adeje and this hotel. We'll be back, actually already booked up to go back to Princess Inspire next year, we can't wait.
A big thank you again to all at the Princess Inspire for the hard work and effort you all put in to make our holidays special, see you next year.
UPDATE - 1 year on... (26/08/2025) One year on we returned back to this marvellous hotel and noticed one difference... it felt even better! Dunno if its just how we felt, i.e. like we had started to get our bearings but again we felt welcome and safe upon arrival - we recognised quite a few members of staff from last year, still smiling and being helpful as always.
There was no James on Reception this year but met Dennis who was just as nice and made sure we all sorted.
For the update, all still spot on.
A MASSIVE THANK YOU and BIG SHOUTS to Belen, Sayka (he remembered us from last year) and Dennis but equally to ALL staff who obviously work very hard to make sure our, and everyone else's, stay is memorable and make it...
