A Hidden Gem in Costa Adeje – Monte Christo
Our experience at Monte Christo in Costa Adeje was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out – the waiting staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire evening. Their warm hospitality added so much to the overall atmosphere and truly made us feel welcome.
The location is another highlight. Perfectly situated and easy to find, the restaurant offers a quiet, intimate setting that feels exclusive yet relaxed – ideal for a special night out or a memorable dinner with friends or family.
As for the food, we were genuinely impressed. Every dish showcased top-quality ingredients and was prepared with remarkable care and precision. You can tell there’s real passion behind the menu – compliments to the chef for delivering such a high standard.
And then came the cherry on top: a delightful peach liqueur served as a digestive. It was such a lovely touch – smooth, sweet, and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone at the table. In fact, we loved it so much we ended up finishing the whole bottle!
This place is truly a selective and refined spot to dine, and we will most definitely be coming back. Monte Christo has earned its place as one of our favorite restaurants in...

All I got back was a confused look from the waiter and the question “you booked?” Since the place was almost empty there wasn’t a reason for this question. After I was half into my beer I decided that I don’t want and don’t need to eat at a place like this.
After I paid for my drinks, I told him that his service is really bad and that he is the reason that we won’t eat there. His reaction “hmk” and a waving gesture with his hand.
I know it’s hard to find good personnel on Tenerife, but this guy is a liability for this place and I’m pretty sure it’s not the first time that he “scared away” a customer.
You better avoid this place! There are plenty of other food options in walking distance with way...
Read moreOne visit was not enough and the food was so delicious I forgot to take pictures. On night one we were treated to a lovely meal. Starters were fabulous. The chicken broth soup with a hint of mint was outstanding as was the avocado and prawns. For mains we had beef medallions and lasagne. The lasagne was excellent and the beef dish was also great. To finish we had the tastiest crème brûlée I have ever had and my husband enjoyed a tasty cheesecake. On our second visit I changed my main meal to the chicken curry with pineapple and was not disappointed- the flavours were terrific. Husband had the mushroom pasta and he loved it. All in all we had a brilliant holiday and loved Monte Christo - service, food and wine all fantastic! Not...
