Tandoori Nights — Restaurant in Adeje

We’ve been here a couple of times before but was let down recently. For the context this was a dinner for two adults + child (only having a portion of dried). Total cost nearly €80.

The person taking our order didn’t bother writing down our order, and our initial prediction is that he’s going to struggle to remember what we ordered. Confirmed later when of the main courses was wrong.

Waiter continued to be pushy with drinks and other side orders. Pina Colada served barely cold without any ice. For a cocktail that’s €8, you’d expect better.

Men’s toilets were out of order, whilst the women’s toilets had a latch on the door that didn’t work.

Food itself wasn’t particularly great, we thought that there has been a change in chef as it was very mediocre. No complimentary shots with the bill.

I am a Brit that lives on the island, I’d like to think I know Indian food quite well and I’ve tried many of the restaurants here. I’ve just left Tandoori nights after visiting for the first time and can only say WOW, finally I’ve found that one Indian that has the perfect mix of amazing food (don’t miss the chicken puri) and super friendly service. Especially if you have the pleasure to be served by Abdul, he’s simply fantastic, so friendly and tentative, you’ll feel immediately as if you’ve known him for ages. Which I actually happen to do because I knew him from a restaurant where he worked previously. Thanks Abdul for a wonderful evening. We will be back...

Arrived and ordered Kingfisher beer which was on the menu and it is an Indian restaurant after all. Didn’t have any.

Placed order for papadums etc to start with. Didn’t have any? What Indian restaurant doesn’t have those.

Ordered two curries. Chicken balti and chicken saag. Couple of naans etc.

The chicken saag was quite possibly the worst curry I’ve ever had. Chicken in both curries was tough. Bread and rice was just about ok.

The best part of the meal was the chips!
