Recommend by our hotel.. upon arrival staff seemed efficient, however after having our first drink we waited a while for them to take our order. They were busy and we were early so that wasn’t a problem. We had drank our drinks and asked for another (twice) which never came, we again asked for a drink and finally got another. Our starters were beautiful, the mains came (lobster and giants prawns) which were quite dry, we ordered chips and veg too, after a while waiting for the veg we asked a young lady where our veg was (twice) they never arrived so we started to eat our mains as they was going cold. The gentleman was rude when I asked for salt and vinagar, he bought ketchup and mayo to the table and continued to speak in Spanish when we said we were English and we didn’t understand. Earlier on, we had had a conversation with him so he knew we only spoke English. Overall disappointed with the service, I am not one to complain but at the end I said we never got our veg?? To which they replied do you want it now?? We didn’t as we had finished eating. We came to pay and they offered us a complimently drink which we excepted, paid the bill and left feeling rather disappointed with the...

The garlic chilli prawns were bland, with none of the flavour you would expect from cooking with garlic and chilli and they were also very oily. The prawns also hadn’t been cleaned properly, cooked and served without the toxic black vein being removed and they also had a soft texture.
The “bouillabaisse” arrived at our table as a DIY dish, we had to shell the seafood ourselves and it was already covered in sauce, even though the broth was served separately by plonking a saucepan of hot liquid on the table right in front of our four year old daughter!
We left the restaurant hungry, as the initial shellfish I shelled wasn’t nice to eat, just didn’t taste right. I’ll let you know tomorrow if any of us get sick.
The staff didn’t seem at all surprised or concerned that we barely ate any of the bouillabaisse and the waiter miraculously started speaking good English as soon as it was time to pay the bill!
Three stars for atmosphere is only due to the spectacular setting next to the sea.
Certainly not going...
Read moreDishonest and overpriced. We were hoping for some fresh and lovely tasting fish, reasonably priced for the area, but unfortunately this wasn't to be the case.
Dorada is the local fish, so we opted for this, disappointedly though, it is rather underhandidly sold per 100 grams. What this means to you is, they weigh the fish whole, then fillet it, serving you a fraction of the weighed cost. Our fish cost €45, despite us receiving a small amount. This wouldn't have been so bad, if the fish was of good to exceptional taste. Unfortunately however, it was bland, and we had to season it with the salt on the table ourselves to add flavour. We paired the fish with grilled vegetables, which amounted to a small amount of thinly sliced veg (sliced longways to cover the plate), with a price you would pay for a main in other places on the island. Unfortunately we couldn't finish the vegetables.
As bi-annual visitors to the island, this is one place we will never return. With so many other places on the island selling fresh, well cooked fish, with reasonably prices, there is no reason to risk visiting this overpriced venue with bland fish....
