Disappointing âhomemadeâ roast dinner. Whilst I believe this roast dinner was homemade it certainly wasnât cooked fresh. It was very obviously that the whole dinner had been zapped to an inch of its life in the microwave, the abnormal heat coming from it and the shrivelled dry carrots were a giveaway. The Yorkshire puddings were like charcoal, in taste and colour. The only decent thing about the dinner was the yummy gravy. Other than that it was simply a mountain of overheated slop swimming in gravy. And if the roast potatoes had of been fresh I would have been quite disappointed to only receive two.
Iâll drop a photo of my dinner which quite clearly looks NOTHING like the photos on these other âreviewsâ. Looking at all the 5 star reviews on trip advisor DAILY itâs quite obviously these arenât genuine reviews⌠all from first time reviewers with photo perfect plates of dinner, what happened to the presentation on my plate. I find it hard to believe all these âcustomersâ go out of their way to start an account to review this place. Seems fishy if you ask me.
I rely on reviews a lot hence why I went to this place, but maybe Iâll have to rethink before I trust reviews as it seems theyâre not always honest. Such a shame. Iâd suggest serving the roasts fresh⌠and let the honest reviews speak...

Let me tell you, their breakfasts are top-tier. The Eggs Benedict was absolutely unbelievable â hands down the best I've ever had.
We were lucky enough to have Shelby and Henni as our waitresses, and they were fantastic. Super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
The burgers were decent, nothing to write home about, but honestly, who cares when the breakfast is that good? Plus, the Guinness was spot on, and they had a great selection of other alcohols to choose from.
The location was perfect for us since we stayed right beside it, so it was super convenient. The atmosphere inside is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot to kick back and enjoy your meal. Out of all the places weâve tried, McGuire's Bar definitely has the best breakfast. Highly recommend stopping by if you're...

I have dined at McGuires three times now, once in the bar and twice on the terrace!
Such a lovely bar, it is newly refurbished, no expense has been spared in creating a perfect Irish bar full of heart and tradition!
The Fish & Chip Friday is my new must, incredibly crunchy batter (freshly made for every serving) chunky crispy but fluffy centred chips!
The Sunday Roast is without a doubt the best on the island and amazing value too! Roast parsnips, crunchy coated stuffing, a huge selection of vegetables you even get buttered mash as well as roast potatoes!
Well done to everyone at McGuires, for such a little venue you pack a mighty big McGuires punch into serving amazing, amazing food!
Oh and you are now my daughters favourite place to eat! You have been a daily request since she tried kids...
