Good price offers, they have combo's for two with a bottle of wine or sangria at good price. The service is very good with professional and attentive waiters. The steaks are served on hot plates or flambé, it is quite a show. I had the Colala steak and I really enjoyed it,very tasty. I loved the little grilled vegetables with a slightly hot sauce. The fries were not much of a big deal , they might have been frozen fries but they were not bad so it is not really importand, I could have easily eaten my stake with the vegetables only. My partner had the sea food plate ( the cheaper version , they have a more expensive one but it's for two persons). He is a big sea food lover so he has sea food everywhere we go and he said that he enjoyed it. It was well cooked and tasty, however not so impressive in terms of content but it is a good price for what you get so all in all nothing to complain or criticise. I had a tiramisu as it was written on a poster that it is home made... might have been but it was not great, I would not strongly recommend it. It is a small portion for the price and as I said: not great, but hey if you really want to have a desert just go for it. I ate it all so I would not say it was bad or disgusting, just not great ,that's all. We will come back for sure and try one of the 2...
Read moreFantastic little restaurant made all the better by the service recieved. In typical fashion when reading the menu on the street we were approached by a member of staff.
The gentleman was friendly and welcoming and upon realising it was my daughters 8th birthday he burst into excitement and spoke directly with her.
He explained the menu, fresh ingredients and offered a ta lble should we want it, telling us the team would sing happy birthday and give her a special dessert.
We were honest and told him we were walking around looking for a restaurant and he gave us a 10% discount voucher should we wish to return any time.
We checked out a place we noticed the night before on the seafront (I will not name as it may have been a one off) and immediately noted the difference in service so we returned to Colala.
The food and price were great, served quickly, tasted fresh and the service throughout the meal was excellent. They made a fuss over our daughter which made her night.
5 adult, 1 child meal and 3 desserts + drinks and wine it was £144 euros (And a free birthday dessert!!)
Even the adults got a treat with a honey liquer tipple at the end.
10% discount turned into a 15% tip....
Read moreLooking for a sea food restaurant while on holiday in Costa Adeje, and found this one recommended online. I was after just a plate full of fresh fish and saw the option I wanted for €19.95. My husband said he'd have the same and further down the menu I saw an option for a sharer for €39.95 so asked for that one. What I hadn't realised was this price was PER PERSON! Our waitress came towards us with the jug of sangria we'd ordered and promptly gave it to the family of two adults and two children who had been seated shortly after us. A few minutes later she walked towards us with a tray containing two drinks in wine glasses and two children's drinks and realised her mistake. Another few minutes went by before we finally got our drinks. The food was great, the service was problematic at times but the one thing that frustrated me was the price per person wasn't pointed out until the bill arrived. The waiter had understood that my initial request was for the €19.95 option so I felt he should have made it clear that we would be paying double for the sharer as it included shellfish. Hugely overpriced for the sea food in comparison to other restaurants...
