The Red Lion Public house & eatery — Restaurant in Adeje

We were in Tenerife for 7 nights and found this place on the second day, initially going in for a drink or two between sunbathing on the beach. The staff were friendly and the food was absolutely amazing, we couldn’t believe the presentation and portions that we received, in fact we ate our evening meal here for the remaining 4 nights instead of the hotel that we had already paid for. Restaurant quality food!. 4 stars for the atmosphere, this was in no way related to the venue, customers or the entertainment. One of the main reasons we returned every day after discovering the red lion was one particular female server, she made our visit very welcoming making conversation smiling and overall very helpful. Unfortunately one of the managers didn’t take well to this and constantly told her off, this would have been understandable if they were overrun with customers but it’s a fairly quiet venue during the day. Had it not have been for the friendliness of this server would most likely have not returned and found something...

Just came back from Tenerife and had the best time an holiday ever with my partner, ended up here a couple of times as the music an lads outside were a real good crack, an got us all a table an looked after us all night, the 1st night I went the music was great, then all of a sudden jack bennet come on, wow , what a talent, he had the whole pub on there feet bouncing, did not want to leave an would pay to see him if he ever came to England, does he have a page? , left there hammered an never wanted to leave lol, went there another night with a group of friends I met out there , me and mate were in first followed by the girls, to the sound of the 3 duffs from eastenders lol. Thought what’s that , it was an amazing comedian called Paul price , he said look out here’s the Mitchell brothers 😂, then he was on us all night, no one got away with it in there, this man is amazing and must see if you are near, made our holiday, thank you red lion for the best time, leon...

Visited the red lion today for a later lunch, Friday 25th April at about 15.00pm our server/waiter Fabio was a great guy, he was very helpful and was also great to have a chat to… he said he’d only started his job there a day of so before and considering that he did great! He always went to ask another member of staff if he was unsure and helped us with our questions we had. I also briefly complimented the chef on his food after our meals and he was very thankful for the compliment! Myself and the wife both ate here, today, I ordered the steak and ale pie (absolutely loaded with big chunks of lean tasty steak) with chips and gravy, my wife had the cheese and onion pie with mash.. both our meals were absolutely fantastic, very tasty and were well worth the money. We also indulged in some of their sticky toffee pudding with the ice cream.. another wow and 10/10 in the taste department. We will definitely return to the red lion and try something else...
