Lovely decor restaurant so decided to take my 2 young teenage granddaughters there for a treat. A big mistake! Felt humiliated when we ordered a bottle of vino de La casa (house wine) and a large bottle of still water for 4. The older waiter just thrust a wine menu at us as they don’t do house wine! We ordered chicken breast with pepper sauce for 2 people, one had chicken escalope and one had only a tapa of prawns in garlic. All were very poorly presented with cold squares of sliced potato and carrots, which were frankly canteen style. The chicken which was over cooked and dry as a bone was only saved by the pepper sauce which we paid extra for. The so called prawns were the tiniest and had clearly been microwaved to such a degree that they couldn’t be touched until everyone else had finished their meal. At no time were we asked if the meal was ok. The girls were so hungry they ate our meals. When we came to pay the bill and I said how disappointed we were, the waitress offered to give us some money back which we didn’t accept as the meal had been eaten and we could do a true critique of this awful restaurant. The older waiter needs some lessons in manners as I heard him say to the wine waiter ‘they asked for vino de La casa!’ as if to say ‘who are these people.’. Read moreThey have a huge problem of billing. They overcharged us 120€ more! And I highly doubt that they did this on purpose. Here’s what happened.
We ordered “No. 135 assorted grilled seafood with lobster”. And as showed in menu, it’s actually a dish for 2 person and costs in total 120€.
But at the end, they charged us 240€ for this dish. When we questioned about it, the waiter told us that we ordered this dish for 2 person, so we need to pay double for it.
We doubted the bill and thought it was way too expensive. But the waiter just said: “Majorca is very expensive.” It seems that, he didn’t think he had make a mistake at all.
After we paid the bill, we carefully checked the menu again and reached the conclusion that they overcharged us 120€.
We went to the manageress and asked her how much is “the assorted grilled seafood with lobster for 2 person”. She recognized us and sidestepped our questions.
Instead of telling us immediately the price , she went to find our receipt and then gave us 120€ back. And then she said that’s all because of the new waiter mad a mistake.
But the question is, if he was new, why he acted like 100% sure that he wasn’t wrong, when we pointed out the problem.
Their food is actually not bad. Paella is great. The assorted grilled seafood is also delicious, except the mussels in this dish were not fresh and smelly.

Read moreIf youre not planning to leave a lot of money there i wouldnt reccommend to go there. Straight away they are not nice the moment they think youre not gonna order a lot. Shame its like that because i was looking forward to this restaurant but i guess only people that look and act "expensive" are treated well. We started to order, the waitress interrupted me and when i answered we dont want bread, i tried to say what we want to order but she just turned around and left. The place looks beautiful but ive never felt this bad about not being "rich enough" foe some people. Really sad experience...
EDIT: Thank you for your reply. Yes indeed im sure its not the owners fault for the behaviour of the waitress and your restaurant is of a high standard and for every pocket- no doubt. My bad experience was a result of the waitress turning around and leaving with a long face MID TALK. We were ready to order, I even started to say what Id like to order but she didn't listen. I hope I'll have a better luck next time I come...
