!!!This is a review regarding the New Years Eve party at La Ereta and not their usual dining experience!!!
We chose La Ereta for our New Year's Eve dinner, hoping for a memorable end to the year. The restaurant certainly boasts a great reputation, and while the dishes we were served tasted wonderful, incorporating great ingredients, they didn't quite meet the level of creativity and flair we expected from such a renowned establishment. Service during the evening was a bit of a letdown. It seemed disorganized at times, and the staff often appeared unsure about the details of the dishes they were serving. We had to wait for them to check back with the kitchen multiple times, which disrupted the flow of our dining experience. Moreover, witnessing the head waiter reprimanding the staff multiple times within view and earshot of the diners was quite uncomfortable and seemed unprofessional. The ambiance after dinner didn't quite lend itself to the festive, celebratory mood typically associated with New Year's Eve. There wasn't much in the way of music or space conducive to dancing and socializing, though to be fair, we weren't expecting a lively party scene. Overall, while La Ereta offers tasty cuisine, the overall experience fell short of what one might hope for on such a special night. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for celebrating major events like New Year's Eve, though it might be suitable for a regular...
Read moreWe had new year's eve party in Restaurant La Ereta. The view from the restaurant is stunning. We had a special menu with wine and all food came at a steady pace. People is very friendly, although not everybody does speak English that well. But that did not ruin the experience. We had an awesome original spanish new year's eve with the countdown and eating grapes. The restaurant supplied a small party set which was very nice. So for the ambiance, the interior and the staff I would say 4 out 5 stars!
The food is a little dissapointing. When we eat in other fancy restaurants, we get explantion of the food and the wines, but we did not get any explantion of the wood and wines. Adding this would add to the experience IMHO.
The food presentation is excellent, but the flavors are hard to understand. We felt it wasn't that well balanced and many times overcomplicated. I guess the food is mainly created to look good. Food wise I would say 3 out of 5.
But, I have to say when you want to have a beautiful view of Alicante or want a nice new year's eve party, you should definitly visit this restaurant. We did have a very nice experience. If the food would improve, this definitly could be a 5 out of 5...
Read moreThe food was absolutely excellent – a real journey through flavors. Each dish offered a unique taste experience and the degustation menu felt like a carefully crafted adventure. You can choose between a 7-course or 10-course menu, each accompanied by a thoughtfully paired wine selection. I truly appreciate the artistry and hard work of the kitchen team. They even prepared us a delicious vegetarian menu, which showed their great skill and attention to detail. It’s best to indicate all allergies and dietary needs in advance, since the preparation is so elaborate and adapting spontaneously can be difficult - yet they still managed to create something outstanding for us.
While the culinary side was outstanding, the restaurant itself could benefit from some improvements. Our seating area on the terrace had some litter nearby, the toilets weren’t as clean as expected, and a bit of dust here and there distracted from the otherwise wonderful atmosphere.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone seeking a great immersion into fine dining. With a little more attention to cleanliness, the entire experience could easily reach perfection. Thank you for the...
