Sampa Picnic Bar — Restaurant in Alicante

This was our favourite restaurant in Alicante. The owner, who happens to be Brazilian was working the shift alone and man did he rock it. The food was delicious, we shared some Spanish tapas like albondigas, patatas bravas, and Serrano & Manchego plate before realising that he also made pao de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). All of it was amazing and at a really decent price. The wines he has on offer are also great and he makes a great aperol as well. It was so good that we ended up going there twice and had he not been closed on Sunday we would have probably returned again. Added bonus is the view when you eat out on the terrace, right in front of the Basílica Santa Maria. Just perfect....

We have been calling to this wonderful bar in beautiful settings whenever we are in Alicante. Our first visit was on a rainy day not long after it opened . The service is very efficient and friendly and the food is amazing . On our visit last week we had fabulous Russian Salad and the fluffiest and freshest ham and cheese croquettes that we had tasted along with a large jug of Sangria 🥰..we look forward to visiting this ideal place in the not to...

Lovely tapas bar that has seating outside at Plaza Santa Maria. A friendly and warm welcome from the host with attentive service. The tapas are great with the menus combining Spanish and Brazilian dishes. The tortilla - great! The coxina- great! The meatballs - perfection!! The best I have ever had!
