place was okay, nothing incredible. we had nowhere to eat since we had just arrived at tenerife on vacation (with a very delayed flight) and everything was closing. we found this place an hour or so before closing, but the man who served us (im assuming is the owner) was very rude about us arriving so late.
we chose this place because i have coeliac disease and require a gluten free diet. i looked forward to trying some things on the menu that seemed gluten free, but i was rudely told i could only have pizza or pasta. i ordered penne carbonara and the pasta was hard, not fully cooked (less than al dente, maybe it was the gf pasta) although the sauce was incredible.
the man serving us kept making comments about how we arrived late (we then learned that los cristianos works around european meal times, but the restaurant was still open), making most of us quite uncomfortable. the next day i woke up with a swollen stomach and in pain, surely from gluten cross contamination, since i had eaten at home safely the day before and ate nothing weird.
might be fine for people with regular diets, but definitely wouldn’t recommend for other...
Read moreFood was generally okay, better to order pasta, pizza though bit crunchy so the edges were bit dry, but generally it was fine, BUT the service was HORRIBLE! My friend asked if she could add extra ingredient to her pizza and waiter was very rude about it... we got small table for 4 persons and when they brought our food waitress was angry that there is little space to put the plates... i asked for some olive oil for the edges and waiter totally forgot about it...BUT the funniest part was that when we asked to split the bill, he came with terminal and was like "okay i am listening" so i said what i ordered so he can charge me, and he was like "no, tell me how much money, oh you didnt calculate it, i will give you a minute to count then, and dont forget to include the tax" NEVER IN ANY RESTAURANT I WAS TOLD TO CALCULATE MY OWN BILL Poor service really ruins the overall opinion of that place I WOULD...
Read moreLast day in Tenerife myself and my partner walked to Los Cristianos as was recommended to go to a pizzeria that made authentic Neapolitan pizzas. Having Italian heritage of course I wanted to try and give it ago.
We turned up and were served immediately, staff were warm and welcoming. I asked if they did a certain pizza my partner likes and they did.
I ordered a four seasons and asked for Italian sausage to be added and my partner had Salsiccia e Friarielli.
The pizza came out and we were not disappointed! Thin base with the leopard print crust it was so light it was heavenly. The pasta dishes looked fantastic as we caught a glimpse of the table beside us and the portions were huge.
We will definitely be returning when we go to Tenerife next year and recommend anyone to go and try as you'll not be...
