Restaurante Malibu — Restaurant in Arona

Avoid like the plague !! Called here tonight was going next door but fully booked so thought we would give Malibu a try again , not sure why should have just walked right past ! Shown to table given menu and then about 5 mins later someone came to take drink order . We ordered a jug of sangria it came and was just left on the table not poured as we have experienced in all other restaurants this week . Time passed waiters/waitresses stood talking not bothering to come and ask if we were ready to order or not in the end a gent came and asked for our order , part way through he walked away and came back with a phone to take the order , thought all sorted then the waitress came over to take the Order .We explained he had just taken the order , she said he had forgotten it and had to take again . Food came my husband had ordered garlic mushrooms in oil ( which he has had several times ) they came and we were unsure as to if they had even been cooked . I ordered the bruschetta which was ok but it was just on normal bread slightly toasted . Waiter came to take plates and I explained the mushrooms were undercooked . No response . Main meal came chicken medallion with pepper sauce , jacket potato and veg . Chicken had been deep fried no taste , jacket potato looked as though it was a week old and the veg was about 5 pieces on a skewer … All tasted very bland good job I had some sauce to dip in to even though that wasn’t great . My husband had ordered the chicken tikka skewer with curry sauce ves and chips . This came chicken had not even seen any tikka sauce/marinate , fries over cooked and hard and the veg same as Mine .Normally though-out a meal the waiters will come over and ask if everything ok , nothing not even when they took the plates they just come and removed them from the table . All in all a totally unprofessional establishment , food poor and the staff are too busy talking among them selves . I would definitely give it a miss !! What a shame as 5 years ago it was...

We came in the evening to have a cocktail and see the atmosphere in this restaurant, since the next day we were going to go out to dinner and celebrate our wife’s birthday... the cocktail was disappointing, the sweet juice was almost non-alcoholic... we decided to order Baileys... there is no limit to disappointment, it’s either not Baileys , or diluted 🤦 And waiter puts the glass on the table, pours it, then quickly grabs a glass of ice and stirs everything, telling us how to drink Baileys.. Guys, do you really think people come here from the villages and don’t know the taste of Baileys? In short, we naturally didn’t go here for dinner either 🤷 This is of course your business, I’m not going to teach you, but people quickly understand everything. You are trying to lure customers with discounts of 12€ for 2 cocktails plus 2 shots as a gift, but people will quickly understand what kind of cocktails you have and in fact you are losing customers who are really ready to spend money in your restaraunt, but this is your choice.. like ours.. we won’t come to you anymore.. We had high expectations that this place would be really good! Unfortunately it wasn't at all. We went in really hungry ready to enjoy a steak meal after a long day at the beach. We were taken to our table at the end of the restaurant which was OK but the live singer seemed to be right round the corner so we could hardly hear them. We ordered 2 fillet steaks done medium. They came and from the look of them to start with, they didn't look brilliant. We tucked in and the peppercorn sauce was tepid which was disappointing. Once we started eating the steaks we also noticed they were also lukewarm and raw in the middle! I like medium cooked with juice...nothing like this at all and I couldn't eat it. Loads of staff passed by and not one asked us if everything was OK! At the end I left most of mine so I told the waiter and he didn't seem bothered in the slightest. I ordered a garlic bread as I was still hungry, even that was just OK. I said to the waiter I would not be paying for the steak which they didn't add to the bill thankfully. Disappointing...
