One of the greatest seafood restaurants in Arrecife; their paella meal, which comes with seafood and costs €32 for two people, is particularly good value.
The appetisers are also excellent; we had excellent grilled octopus, grilled baby squid, and my personal favourite, a bowl of assorted deep-fried seafood (€9, definitely worth trying).
A particularly pleasant and well-balanced beer, Doroa Special is best enjoyed straight from the tap as opposed to a bottle or can.
When the water level rises and the boats start to float, the view is breathtaking. Sort of like an art spot on Instagram.
In addition, the employees offer 5 star hospitality; Salek, the restaurant manager, is an exceptional person who is both competent and hospitable. We are quite excited to go back to Malecom and highly recommended.
Please note that this is not fast food, so please be patient while you wait for your food. I can assure you that the quality of the cuisine you receive will be well worth the wait.
Thanks to Salek and Malecom team.

Read moreAmazing!!!! 5 stars is too low score:) We spent in Arrecife 2 weeks and majority of days we ate dinner in Malecon. Before I go to the food, you have to know that you will feel in Malecon like at home. The Staff is World class. They will not only take care for you with full heart, but also they speak well so many languages. I heard at least: English, Spanish, German, Italian, French.... I was really impressed:) :) Now to the Food - I think we tried at least 80% of menu and we loved all. I highly recommend also to try their special meals not included in the card. I try to think what was the best, but it's so hard. The must have for me, from main course is Fish, but also steak and grilled squid were amazing. For tapas... Prawns in garlic, Peppers padron, grilled cheese, Salmon & avocado tartare, octopus. For drinks definately Sangria & Mohito:) Thank you once again for your hospitality and amazing food. You force us to come back next year to...
Read moreWe went there on Jan 1st. Almost nothing else was open, so we knew we were gambling here, as it looked a bit like a tourist trap. Out of all of the places we tried in Lanzarote over 5 days, this was by far the worse. The food was ok, but the overall experience was bad.
First, they only serve beer from bottle (usually you have taps around the island), and they ran out of beer and wouldn't serve it anymore (all of the tables around had beer). We were told that the dish we wanted to order is not available, but tables that sat down after we ordered had got this dish later. The food was ok at best. We have waited for a really long time. Tables that sat down after we ordered got their food before us. Some even asked for the bill before we got our main dish. The service was weird. some waiters were nice but 2 were really sassy in an annoying way. Smoking is allowed so that really killed my apatite as people smoked...
