Be careful! when you pay! They might cheat on you on the bill. Be careful when you pay by cash or by the card. Be careful when you pay by a bank card. Don't give it to a restaurant staff for to pay the bill. Ask them to give the bank machine to you and do all payment process by yourself. I asked the waiter to give me the bank machine, so, I would do a payment by myself, but 3 times he refused to give me a machine.

My problem was one: my bank card has only 5 swip options per day when I am abroad. And being in Spain, it was my being abroad. If I pay per day 5 times by a swipe - my bank card gets blocked. I can not unblock my card by calling to my bank or through the Internet banking. Only solution is to go back to my country (to which country bank it belongs), to use it there at least once (in the ATM or in the shop), and it will get unblocked, which would happen onky after 4 days.

Forth times, when again he refused to give me the bank machine and when he again asked me instead - to give him my bank card - I gave him my card (hoping that he would stick my bank card into machine himself as I told him before that I need to stick my bank card into the bank machine and to enter the pin/code) - he just touched the bank machine with my bank card (swiped) and machine charged me the bill like that. And woualla! It was my fifth swipe today (later on, when I checked my Internet banking, i found out about it). When I got angry and started telling him that he gave me a problem by swiping my bank card, not sticking - he started to pretend that he speaks only Spanish language (which I don't speak in all 5 languages I speak). I asked him to call someone else who speaks in English. Again 3 times he refused to do so and was going on talking with me in Spanish whatever. Then I showed him with hand towards the other 3 waiters which were gathered meanwhile nearby listening our argue. He again refused. I again showed him with hand and asked him to call to one of them. Then he called one of them. Told whatsoever in Spanish. And the other guys started telling me as if I told so, he told so, as if I did so, and as if he did so. I told him that whatever he was telling - it was all lie and I don't want to hear lies. Then they called third guy. He told whatever to him in Spanish. Then I told him (to the third guy) all story from the beginning to the end what hapand and what was my problem with my bank card. First excuse: they have many customers and .... 2nd excuse: he doesn't speak English, so, maybe he did not understand (even a body language was used each time together with my English). I didn't accept any excuses. I asked him to go to the guy who charged me with a swiping a card which was against of my wish and to translate all what I told and to let me know his answer. He told an excuse: "we are very busy". I told him: if my bank card is blocked now - it means that next 3 days I have no money even for food. Would they give me 3 times a day food during 3 days? He told that they can not do so. I told him that I know/I guess that they can not do so, so, go to him tell all these everything what kind of trouble he made for me by him being a stubborn and come back to me with an answer. He went to him. Spoke with hi.. He was shaking his head saying "no". I stayed there sitting at an empty table next 1 hour and bit more. After 1 hours of sitting there at an empty table - one waiter offered me water or coffee. I refused. I couldn't sustain them I anything...

I hate to leave bad reviews but we did not have a pleasant experience at this restaurant due to the rude waiter.

We were approached by staff to have a seat on the patio for a drink/food as we were walking through the famous Mercat de la boqueria. As soon as we sat down the waiter approached us and rushed us to order a drink. I asked for one moment while my wife decided and he seemed annoyed right away. He returned about 30 seconds later in which we order wine and beer. He returned 2 minutes for a food order in which we only wanted an appetizer. He expressed his frustration that we were only ordering one dish and persuaded us to looked at the menu again. When he returned I tried to explain we were not very hungry since we had many dishes at the market and were only stopping in for a quick drink.

He then went off on us about us needing to order more food and how this was a restaurant and not a bar. My wife offered for us to pay and leave and he shooshed her and pointed at her. It was extremely rude and uncalled for so we stood...

My family and I went for lunch and had a horrible experience. The service was very slow. Before ordering the grilled sardine plate, I asked the waiter twice whether the dish came with a side and the waiter assured me both times that it would come with french fries and a salad. When the food arrived, there were just 5 sardines on my plate. I asked about the side dishes and two waiters said that it does not bring any although I was assured that it would. Our waiter only said that he was sorry and said that I would have to pay extra if I wanted the sides ALTHOUGH I had asked him twice before ordering. The other plates of my family members included the said "salad" which was a quarter grilled tomato, one asparagus and grilled peppers.

The two bathrooms were out of order so guests were being yelled out if they had to use it and there was no soap to wash your hands or towels to dry them. When the bill arrived, the waiter had an attitude and demanded a tip. It was...
